Sculpture "The Little Mermaid" Cyprus

This sculpture, called "The Little Mermaid", I photographed while visiting a sculpture park in Cyprus.

This park is located 2-3 km. from the center the city Ayia Napa and a few meters from the sea.

It was opened in 2014.
To take part in the creation of sculptures for this park, it was necessary to send photos of at least four of their works.

Those who passed the second round had to provide a drawn model of the future sculpture.

The Municipality of Ayia Napa provided the winners of this competition with materials for the production of sculptures.
Sculpture requirement:
sculptures must be more than two meters in height or width.

Talented sculptors from many countries took part in the creation of the sculpture park:
Cyprus, Greece, Russia, Germany, New Zealand, Italy, France, Syria, Israel, Serbia, Egypt, Cuba, Tunisia, Colombia, Georgia, Argentina, Australia, Ukraine, Armenia, Brazil, Austria, India, Belgium, Albania, Costa -Rica and Chile.

The author of the sculpture "The Little Mermaid" is the sculptor Sergei Sbitniev from Ukraine.

Sculptures worked right in the park, in the open air.
They had three weeks at their disposal.
