Hello everyone!

This post is to celebrate a massive feat that I have managed to achieve here on the Hive blockchain!

If you know me, you know that I am a massive fan of Warhammer 40,000 and that amongst other things I do reviews of units, posts about building and painting the models and playing the game.

Yesterday I managed to finish reviewing the entire INDEX of Astra Militarum Datasheets. I also made a post to review their Army Rule and two more posts to review the two pre-Codex Detachments they have.

That is a total of 64 Hive posts dealing specifically with the Astra Militarum! Dayum! That is a LOT.

I thought that I would also share some Astra Militarum memes.

They are also known as Imperial Guard but GW had to officially call them something else due to IP laws. Most old school players still call them Guard or IG.

So let's laugh at some memes together!

The life of a Guardsman in the 41st Millenium is grim and dark and fatalistic. Remember that if you don't know the Guard well!

Commissars of the Astra Militarum keep soldiers in line by shooting anyone who tries to run away.

So... the situation is bad when the Commissar is focussed on the enemy! 🤣

The war of attrition is one of the Guard's specialties, accepting ridiculous casualties all in order to win a little bit. 🤣

Again with the Commissar quip. 🤣

In a galaxy filled with Super Soldiers (Adeptus Astartes and Custodes), dangerous alien creatures and Daemons spawned from your nightmares the infernally optimistic outlook of the Guardsman is that you shall go and kill it with your bayonets! 🤣🤣🤣

In the lore... this is usually impossible.

On the tabletop? It can actually work!

See? This is what they are known for?

An army with 100 infantry models AND 8 tanks! Ridiculous!

With the onrushing Tyranid horde Ray decides to make one last joke. 🤣

Going a bit deeper into the lore now. There are MANY Imperial Guard Regiments. Above is the meme-ified explanations of each of the Regiments of Renown as I call them.

The new Codex deals primarily with Cadians, Catachans and Kriegsmen.

But you can get models for each other rest. You can also create an Astra Militarum army of your own creation with ANY theme you can think of! Space is a big place and the Imperium has worlds under its control with every tech level you can think of, every cultural theme you can think of and every climate and biome you can think of!

You can create literally any theme you want!

What are the Guard known for? Flashlights, Chickens, Big Bois and Blam!

Knife-eared Problems.

It is strange thing is... the Astra Militarum went up for Pre-Order first. So I focussed on getting them done. Games Workshop often releases two Codexes at the same time.

The Aeldari, another BIG Index is getting a new 10th Edition Codex now.

And for some reason THEY are paywalled on the app and the Astra Militarum isn't yet.

So... there is a website I can still get the Index rules for the Aeldari but I have to move quick before they update their info!

What do I have to review?
