Hmm, not so much philanthropic, that wasn't my thought. I was more along the lines of each person finding what's meaningful to them, whatever that may be, and to pursue it with passion. Of course, some people find meaning in philanthropic works but I think a person can find meaningful things daily and some them are very simple and small things.

I'm sorry to hear the assistance you've given has not been treated well and it's changed your perception, however that doesn't mean you're a bad person and certainly doesn't mean you cannot still find a meaningful life; yours is just different to others, like it is with most of us.
