I’ll be trying the mentor program at my work this year I think. Last year I didn’t do it because I was too green I think and it likely wasn’t going to work out. Now that I’ve got a bit of time under my belt I think I’m going to dive into it and see what I can get out of it. I’m wondering if I would be a mentor as well as a mentee. I know I want to mentee but thinking I might also have something to provide someone as a mentor perhaps, not sure yet.
We do all need to just build and expand other skills in those situations where opportunities arise and we take them.
Keep me posted how it goes, as I think getting other references will help the process for me too :)
Mentoring others would be a good thing to do also. If we want to stay at the company we are at, we should invest into helping others too..
