Jodhpur city of Rajasthan is also known by another name Blue City. Its called by that name because of the numerous Blue flat-roofed houses throughout the city but particularly clustered in one part of the town.
Here I was walking in the same part of the town with My Friend Martin along with two other Columbian girls named Natis and Karol, who tagged along with us for the photo walk at almost the sun down time of the day. We were walking down a street that was only broad enough for 2 wheelers to pass. All of us had our own DSLRs with us and were constantly clicking photos, but the Girls and Martin were occasionally distracted with conversations in their Mother Tongue Spanish while I was more focused on looking for my shots along the way. Due to the lack of light, I was then limited to my 50mm nifty fifty lens as it was the only lens I had with low light shooting capabilities, but that also meant I didn't have to change my camera lens every now and then which was blessing in disguise as we have much time with sunlight.
So as we were walking down the slope of this narrow lane, The girls suddenly shrilled out of excitement and said something in Spanish. I have no clue what they said, but they were too much in awww and pointed their index fingers at a window of a house right ahead. At the window, was a really cute Rajasthani kid who immediately started hiding behind the pane as she realised she's getting all the attention. She did pop her head up for a brief moment every now and then to see if we were still around. It was when she popped her head up I captured the below image.
The kid then went out of our site and we decided to move on after waiting for a while.
After we went past the house, the kid this time popped her window to see if we're still around. This time she kept looking at us for a bit longer hence I had enough time to take the shot below.
Fascinating architecture, blue color is looking great, and wonderful photography.
Are all the houses there in blue?
...and, yes, she is very cute.
Yes, In this colony.
All Blue.
Locals are very welcoming as well
Much Appreciated Brother.
Thanks for stopping by
She is more attracting the frame than the blue 😊 Did she speak Spanish with Martin ? May be she know coz most of the tourist spots speak in multiple languages 😬
No. She is the local Rajasthani kid who we dint even talk to.
Just a kid who peaked out of the window from the 1st floor.
Girls who were speaking Spanish were Columbian Girls who are now residents of USA. They joined us for this photo walk through these streets.
Cool good to know more abt the photograph 😊
Thanks bro
