My house is my fortress!
This house, as it seems to me, fits this expression very well.
Its walls resemble fortress walls and its windows look like loopholes.
Meanwhile, ordinary people live in the house.
This is one of the old houses of St Petersburg.
If you walk through the courtyards of the old part of the city, you will surely meet similar fortresses.
Sometimes there are no windows at all :)

Потемневшая от времени штукатурка явственно указывает на бедность живущих здесь обитателей. Их бюджет не позволяет устроить ремонт и обновить облик дома. Я уверен, что когда-то желтый цвет покраски этого дома выглядел совсем иначе! А свежие белые пластиковые окна намекают, что у некоторых жильцов дела пошли в гору. Вот это я называю хорошим комментарием, радующим автора и добавляющим что-то к посту. Но кое-кто со мной не согласится, и увидит здесь только "фарминг комментариев" (и на кой, интересно, мне может занадобиться оный фарминг, для какой пользы?... ) но идиотам и фанатикам ничего не докажешь.

Normal comments, normal posts with good photos and text don't interest anyone here. Only maybe a few of your friends... and that's it.
Those who determine the policy on the site are concerned with "purity of their ranks", not quality content. Even though they say the exact opposite.
I know you work seriously on every post..... go to the feed and see what quality posts have what amount of support.
You'll see a sad picture of a rotten swamp. When a post with a phone photo (with questionable sharpness...I'm not even talking about the rest) gains 3 digit upvotes.
It's just... There's "theirs" and everyone else's. It's very sad for the ecology of the site and will eventually lead to degradation.... it's just a matter of time.

Нормальные комментарии, нормальные посты с хорошими фотографиями и текстом здесь никого не интересуют. Только возможно несколько твоих друзей... и это всё.
Те, кто определяет политику на сайте озабочены "чистотой своих рядов", а не качественным контентом. Хотя говорят совершенно обратное.
Я знаю, что ты серьёзно работаешь над каждой публикацией... зайди в ленту и посмотри, какого качества посты какое количество поддержки имеют.
Ты увидишь печальную картину гнилого болота. Когда пост в фотографией из телефона (при сомнительной резкости... про остальное даже не говорю) набирает 3-х значные цифры апвоутов.
Просто... здесь есть "свои" и все остальные. Это очень печально для экологии сайта и в конечном итоге приведёт к деградации... это вопрос времени.
