Hello friends, this morning I went for a walk in the garden of my house with my granddaughter to enjoy and distract us a little on this beautiful day.
Among the flowers I have found myself flying and posing this beautiful butterfly, these insects are quite common but very striking and we always admire them with enthusiasm.
This butterfly is very bright orange, with some dark spots on the top and light brown on the bottom. They are quite a bit larger than what is seen frequently, about 8 centimeters or so.
I wanted to know more about them, I have started to do some research in order to learn about this beautiful species.
They are of the "Agraulis vanillae" species, although they are commonly known as Mirror Butterflies, Gulf Pearly or Speckled Passionflower.
They are found in Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, the United States, and Argentina. Once they come out of their pipe as an adult they can live from 14 to 27 days, this mainly depends on their environment to feed themselves.

Hola amigos, hoy en la mañana salí a dar un paseo por el jardín de mi casa junto a mi nieta para disfrutar y distraernos un poco en este lindo día.
Entre las flores me he encontrado volando y posando a esta hermosa mariposa, estos insectos son bastante comúnes pero muy llamativas y siempre las admiramos con entusiasmo.
Esta mariposa es de un color naranja muy brillante, con algunos manchas oscuras por la parte de arriba y marrón claro por la parte de abajo. Son de un tamaño bastante más grande de las que se ven con frecuencia, como unos 8 centímetros aproximadamente.
Quise saber más de ellas, me he puesto a investigar un poco para asi aprender sobre esta linda especie.
Son de la especie "Agraulis vanillae", aunque son conocidas comúnmente como Mariposas de Espejo, Nacarada del Golfo o Pasionaria Moteada.
Se encuentran en América Central, el Caribe, México, Estados Unidos y Argentina. Una vez que sale de su pipa como un adulta pueden vivir de 14 a 27 días, esto depende principalmente de su entorno para alimentarse.
