So this place is called Beech Mountain, it's not really tall, but it has archeological spot on the top being megalithic site of burial and ritual purpose. This place was just discovered last year and excavations are still being conducted. I visited it yesterday tomorrow with my friend and it's located in my hometown called Dąbrowa Górnicza.

Wow, that´s an interesting place! How come it was discovered so late? Btw I thought you were from Katowice and honestly, this is the first time I´m hearing about Dabrowa Gornicza, which is a shame because I thought I knew all Polish cities with at least 100,000 people... Always learning! Thanks Przemek :)

I live in Katowice for the last 5 years, I grown up in Dąbrowa Górnicza, 15km from here. These seem to be just rocks scattered around the hill in the forest, it took visit of somebody with this specific perspective who just said "no way this is natural rock formation", and then archeology people came.

Yeah but still... I think most of these sites have already been discovered in Europe so whenever a new one pops out somewhere, it must be pretty exciting for the archaeologists.

I'm planning to visit local museum to ask about it, I'll share my findings. And who knows how many of these spots is still buried?

That´s right. We lived in Latin America for some time and over there, the ancient sites built by the old Mayas, Aztecs, Inkas etc. are only being discovered these days and many are surely still buried under the jungle, yet to be found in future... Must be a fascinating job :)
