Hola a todos mis queridos Hivers, hoy estaré llamando la atención de todas esas personas amantes de los cactus y suculentas. Recién empiezo con mi colección y como es de esperar son pocas las que tengo y otras que durantes estos días me han estado regalando.

Hello to all my dear Hivers, today I will be calling the attention of all those people who love cacti and succulents. I have just started with my collection and as expected there are few that I have and others that during these days have been giving me as gifts.

La intención de esta publicación es compartir con ustedes un lindo proyecto que tengo para decorar una de mis paredes del porche de mi casa, con estás variables y hermosas plantas, es por esto que les estaré mostrando poco a poco el proceso. En esta primera parte quiero mostrarle una de mis opciones para trasplantar mis pequeños cactus y suculentas.

The intention of this publication is to share with you a nice project I have to decorate one of my porch walls of my house, with these variable and beautiful plants, that is why I will be showing you little by little the process. In this first part I want to show you one of my options to transplant my small cactus and succulents.

En mira al desarrollo de este proyecto estuve almacenando algunas latas de atún, jamonada, pepitonas entre otras para que me sirvieran de maceteros.

In order to develop this project I was storing some cans of tuna, ham, pepitonas among others to serve as pots.

Lo primero que hice con la ayuda de mi esposo fue quitar el filo de las latas, con la finalidad de no correr riesgo de cortarme al momento de manipular para la siembra.

The first thing I did with the help of my husband was to remove the edge of the cans, with the purpose of not running the risk of cutting myself at the moment of manipulating them for the planting.

Mientras él hacía esa tarea, con la ayuda de un cuchillo de mesa, yo retiraba parte de la pintura de la lata con el fin de que la pintura a utilizar se pudiera adherir mejor.
Al mismo tiempo mi esposo con la ayuda de una navaja, le hacía sus respectivos huecos a las latas para el drenaje del agua. Está operación se hizo con todos los recipientes con estás características por unas horas.

While he was doing this task, with the help of a table knife, I removed part of the paint from the can so that the paint to be used could adhere better. At the same time my husband, with the help of a pocket knife, made holes in the cans for water drainage. This operation was done with all the containers with these characteristics for a few hours.

El día Domingo teníamos previsto seguir con la actividad, por eso me dediqué a empezar a pintar las latas y otros envases de plástico, con una pintura de aceite de color mandarina que le pedí a mi esposo que comprará, claro la idea era un color que resaltará según la disponibilidad en la tienda, a mi esposo le gustó esté y yo estuve conforme, me gustó mucho el color. Fue necesario darle una 3 manos para cubrir bien. Ese día yo le di 2 manos con una brocha que no estaba en buenas condiciones mientras mi esposo hacía otra tarea que le estaré presentando en otra publicación. Pero horas después de estar desocupado y con la brocha nueva, él término de darle el último toque a los envases, así quedaron.

On Sunday we planned to continue with the activity, so I dedicated myself to start painting the cans and other plastic containers, with a tangerine color oil paint that I asked my husband to buy, of course the idea was a color that would stand out according to the availability in the store, my husband liked this and I was satisfied, I really liked the color. It was necessary to give it 3 coats to cover it well. That day I gave it 2 coats with a brush that was not in good condition while my husband was doing another task that I will be presenting in another publication. But hours after he was free and with the new brush, he finished giving the last touch to the containers, and this is how they looked.

El día de hoy, aprovechando un tiempo libre, decidí hacer el trasplante de algunas de las plantas en los nuevos y coloridos envases, y con una tierra negra con abono que tenía para tal fin, además unas piedritas que utilicé para darles más resistencia y decorar al mismo tiempo. Estos fueron los resultados.

Today, taking advantage of some free time, I decided to transplant some of the plants in the new and colorful containers, and with a black soil with compost that I had for that purpose, plus some pebbles that I used to give them more resistance and decorate at the same time. These were the results.

Una vecina que me observaba, aprovechó de conversar mientras yo le hacía el cariño a mis plantas, en la conversación acordamos en que yo le regalaría algunos, por eso fui sacando los que tenía repetidos y se los coloqué en unos de los recipientes viejos, para que luego ella pudiera sembrarlos individualmente. Ella también se sintió muy contenta.

A neighbor who was watching me, took the opportunity to talk while I was caring for my plants, in the conversation we agreed that I would give her some, so I took out the ones I had repeated and placed them in some of the old containers, so that she could plant them individually. She was also very happy.

Estuve súper relajada con la actividad, es algo que me apasiona, y ver el avance de mi proyecto me llena de mucha satisfacción, pues esto será algo que una vez concluido me dará mucha felicidad. Espero que estás ideas sirvan también para decorar y variar sus jardines, y como saben ahorita se hace lo que se puede y con lo que está a nuestro alcance, por eso usar materiales de reciclaje nos servirá de mucho. Estaré pendiente de seguir mostrando mi proyecto a medida que vaya avanzando. Siempre es un placer compartir con ustedes parte de lo que me hace feliz.

I was very relaxed with the activity, it is something I am passionate about, and seeing the progress of my project fills me with great satisfaction, because this will be something that once completed will give me a lot of happiness. I hope these ideas also serve to decorate and vary your gardens, and as you know now we do what we can and with what is within our reach, so using recycled materials will help us a lot.
