Ever Changing Cloak - Winter Park

Winter rings in colours not seen in Spring or Summer, the golden Aloe is no more, the wildflowers still bloom in waves of yellow or white, while the majestic tall trees stand in dazzling orange to delight.

IMG_4556.JPG

Seasonal change dancing before ones eyes this walk was to give a feeling of our sublime Winter weather, not quiet the drab many expect, coastal town has not seen rain for a couple of weeks, being sub-tropical the green evident from the lawns to the trees.

IMG_4552.JPG

Excuse Mr Mole he is very busy all around the town, have you seen a mole before, here is one we rescued a couple of years ago, not part of the sublime Sunday. He is blind and very cute!

IMG_0350.JPG

Garbage see, garbage remove, doggy doo/poo bury or remove, for me and for you to enjoy a clean park.

Next up is the Erythrina caffra flowers on the tree starting to show new leaves, a wee bit early to my liking.

IMG_4546.JPG

Plenty for the birds and insects to pollinate during the cold season, skies a clear no hazy view looking up the trunk.

IMG_4551.JPG

Abundant bird life thriving along the river banks, a small slice of tranquility between suburbia, a space to escape.

IMG_4569.JPG

Spring is trying to rush Winter away, to me our cooler season is my time of the year, whispered one Woolly to the Other, time to cuddle up....

IMG_4564.JPG

Park is not a place to rush through, even walking the dog, take time to see nature absorb the atmosphere of precious moments of sheer luxury, sweet nothings or beauty or both.

IMG_4584.JPG

Glorious golden sunsets with minimal clouds above transforms into random patterns bringing about more scenery, simply stand and watch from wherever you are, closing of the day signalling another brilliant one, how does it make you feel?

IMG_4541.JPG

Appreciation of the natural world, boosting your well-being a feeling of satisfaction of being alive to enjoy another.

I am one of those that have not seen a mole before
My guess is the cold has subsided to give way to Spring which is 3 weeks away
Lovely sunset you have shared with us, I have not had time for sunset chasing lately

Mole was rescued some years back, came up from underground to fall into the small pond we had, most probably his descendants still tunneling away in the garden.

Pretend Spring has arrived with Snake Lily in bloom early, more cold still to come through as happens every year.

Sunsets enjoyed at end of every day, always stunning at this time of year. !LUV

It's been a unique kind of weather for you guys this year that had me jealous, one of those winters to be remembered for the snow.

Enjoy the week ahead.

Winter shows it's face sometimes all the way into October, warmer now, sure to have more cold fronts come through. Have an awesome day.

Thanks Joan stay warm and keep well when cold front shows up.
Still rainy season over here which am loving.

🧡💛💚💙💜💖

As always, you have wonderful photos that convey the atmosphere of places. Oh, it's a mole! Never saw them live. The photo of a tree with flowers is very beautiful. Very cool photos of birds near the water, sitting on a tree. And the perfect ending with sunset photos.

Somehow mole ended up in a small pond we had, in good health went underground again, also enjoyed being able to see one at least once in a lifetime.

Walking this park late afternoon every bird appeared to be enjoying the last warmth of the day, our night still relatively cool.

Thanks for visiting and kind comment, appreciated.

Hello dear friend @joanstewart good day
What a beautiful walk, and what beautiful shots you have achieved
I appreciate you sharing these beautiful shots.
Have a happy start to the week

Good to get out once again taking a good walk with the dog, we both need it!

Hope your health is treating you well at the moment, have a wonderful day and new week.

I love Mr. Mole! You have captured the park so beautifully, Joan.

Moles are doing a cracking job of pushing up mounds everywhere, this is the only one I have seen alive above ground.

The river seems to be able to home many different creatures.

Plenty going on down at the river, late afternoon most were taking in the last warmth of the day.
