¿Es pelar una semilla, limpiarla de fibras meticulosamente sin tener en claro para qué, es limpiar esa semilla hacer nada? En ese caso, ¡Que DOLCE FARE NIENTE! Que dulce es hacer nada.
Aquí estoy en popa otra vez recostado en la silla de Miguel, trincheta (cutter) en mano, un pote de carozos de m'butiá, un cafecito con canela y pimienta. Hoy he aprendido que el coquito de m'butiá trae la misma peculiaridad que el coco-coco, el coco más famoso. Ambas semillas siendo muy distintas sobretodo en tamaño, muestran la misma estructura. Un lado más puntiagudo y en el otro tres agujeritos. Por uno de esos agujeros saldrá ("primero dios" como dicen en México) un nuevo brote.
Recuerdo un gran secreto que nos confiaron allá en el norte: si plantamos el coco con los agujeritos para abajo la palma crecerá chaparrita, es decir petisa, lo que deja los cocos a la mano para cosechar. Queda experimentar con el m'butiá, si pasara lo mismo sería más provechoso para nosotres que para las cotorras. Plantaremos tres, igual que los agujeritos. La naturaleza nos enseña si sabemos observar.

Today I have learned that the "m'butiá" coconut has the same peculiarity as the coco-coconut, the most famous coconut. Both seeds being very different, especially in size, show the same structure. One more pointed side and three little holes on the other. A new shoot will come out of one of those holes ("god first" as they say in Mexico). I remember a great secret that they entrusted to us there in the north: if we plant the coconut with the little holes facing down, the palm will grow short, which leaves the coconuts close at hand to harvest. It remains to experiment with the m'butiá, if the same thing happened it would be more profitable for us than for the parrots. We will plant three, just like the little holes. Nature teaches us if we know how to observe.
