MyPictureDay a Sublime Sunday in the Skies, the Water and the Forest...

It has been a glorious day right from the morning on into the evening, a perfect day for an adventure in photography discovering some amazing nature! It seems like every day is an adventure, with camera in hand, nature never fails to delight!

Our morning walk started us off with a beautiful scene before us as we came out into the opening. The clouds had created some awesome formations above the spruce and poplar trees.

And in the evening there was a different sky above the pasture with a light shower bringing a rainbow and a strange cloud formation...

A visit to the pond presented a pair of Barrow's Golden Eye Ducks leisurely swimming around.

Upon arriving at the hill top we were greeted with a sublime view of the lake with the sound of geese honking.

Up above the trees were a pair of ravens flying in the sky.

On the way home I spied an American Tree sparrow nestled in the spruce boughs...

And a woodpecker among the freshly opening leaves on the maple tree.

In the big Jack Pine tree in our yard there were a pair of grey jays. Once they spied me taking pictures they flew off but I did manage to get one shot of the male in the pine boughs. It was good to see the pair visiting our yard which means they must be nesting close by.

Down below in the pine meadow the sunlight shone through making a lovely scene1

And up above the pines a flock on snow geese flew...
