Amazing Nature Contest: Thematic Challenge - #2/2 #Wild nature in towns and villages

Hello Amazing Nature Lovers. Very interesting theme for this week :
“Wild nature in towns and villages” I live in the countryside and I am used to “rural wilderness” and I am not familiar with wild nature in town. That's why I will write about the wild in the countryside to be precise "wild forest". Wild forest I mean a forest located in the Bukit Barisan area which is located between Langkat and Karo districts in North Sumatra, Indonesia.

A few days ago during the Chinese New Year celebrations, I went to the forest to refresh my mind from my daily routine. I was very happy to be in the wild, my soul felt alive in the wild, so I decided to go to the forest.

the old trees that protect the forest look mysterious, there is something hidden, I feel like I'm in a "mystery" world. in this forest there are many old trees that are tens to hundreds of years old, we can see it from the year circle contained in the diameter of the wood that has been cut down or uprooted itself because of its old age.

I decided to get out of the dark forest. I enjoy being on the edge of the forest, looking at some of the typical forest plants.

there are many types of kadaka plants, this plant is an ornamental plant.

gem orchid that grows a lot in humus and moist soil. Although not yet flowering, this orchid that grows in humus soil has exotic leaves, brownish color and fibrous making it an "amazing plant" in the wild.

This wild fern is widely sold by local people as an ornamental plant.

I also found " gotu kola/pegagan/ Centella asiatica”,a type of medicinal plant that can increase appetite, I like the purple color of the fruit, it looks beautiful. The leaves of this plant can be eaten directly as fresh vegetables and are nutritious to increase appetite. to plant this plant we can directly pluck the stem of the plant and plant it by stem cuttings.

My attention is drawn to a red fruit like a strawberry that grows on the edge of the forest.

This is my first time seeing this plant, it looks like a strawberry but a little smaller, but this wild plant has thorns like roses. I tasted it a little, there was a feeling of fear of poisoning when I tasted "forest strawberry". After I tried one bite, it tasted like a strawberry but a little rough on the tongue because of the rough surface of the fruit.

I also found a lot of plants like curcuma but the fruit is orange and the tree gives off a relaxing aroma.

Thick moss covers the ground, adding to the mystery of the forest.

I also found a lot of philodendron-type plants that are commonly used as ornamental plants. In this Bukit Barisan forest, there are many types of philodendrons.

Among the bushes I also found wild plants with beautiful red flowers, the flowers looked "striking" among the green and green leaves.

a group of bamboo trees on the edge of the forest moved, there was a noise, when I looked at the bamboo trees there were many monkeys playing between the bamboo stalks.

After being satisfied in the forest enjoying the wild nature and fresh atmosphere, I decided to continue the journey along the beautiful scenery along the Bukit Barisan. I found many cafes that have a unique shape, according to the traditional house of the Karo people.

Typical ornaments of the Karo tribe are in every form of huts for visitors to rest while enjoying the beauty of the forest and Bukit Barisan.

I am very happy to be in the forest, in the wild which provides many herbal plants for mankind. "All medicines come from plants" that is one thing I believe in, nature is so amazing.

in every human being "there is a wild side" that can appear at any time due to certain situations. so "wild" is all over the world. As long as humans have desires, wherever humans live, in rural, urban areas, there will be wild nature.
