Muy buen día hivers, creativos, amantes de los hilos y agujas. Hoy vengo a hablarles de Isidora, la muñeca muñeca de tela. Ella fue una de las que hice con motivo navideño, con sus 2 trenzas, un lacito y vestido de navidad. Su carita la pinté de ojos grandes y sonrisa tímida pero alegre. La verdad que cuando la veo me genera una sensación de mucha buena energía.

She was one of the dolls I made with a Christmas motif, with her 2 braids, a bow and Christmas dress. I painted her face with big eyes and a shy but happy smile. The truth is that when I see her she gives me a feeling of good energy.
En estos días estaba mostrando las fotos de las que he hecho a una compañera de trabajo, ella vió esta muñeca y me dijo rápidamente que si aun la tenía la quería para su hija Isidora. Su emoción primero me sorprendió y luego me alegró muchísimo porque creo que desde diciembre no conectaba tan así con mi arte en las muñecas.
These days I was showing the photos of the ones I have made to a coworker, she saw this doll and quickly told me that if she still had it she wanted it for her daughter Isidora. Her emotion first surprised me and then made me very happy because I don't think I had connected with my doll art since December.
Me hace mucha ilusión que Isidora hará feliz a su dueña y harán muchas aventuras, por eso decidí hacerle un outfit extra de jeans y blusa de tirantes, un look más aesthetic y cómodo porque se que así se viste la niña, nueva propietaria de Isidora. Para vestirla utilicé: retazos de jean, de tela chifon, hilo, agujas, maquina de coser, tijeras y encendedor.
I am very excited that Isidora will make her owner happy and they will have many adventures, so I decided to make her an extra outfit of jeans and a strappy blouse, a more aesthetic and comfortable look because I know that this is how the girl, Isidora's new owner, dresses. To dress her up I used: jean scraps, chiffon fabric, thread, needles, sewing machine, scissors and lighter.
Para el jean, hice el trazo en la tela como ven en la imagen, es la mitad del contorno de toda la cintura más 2 cm para el margen costura, para las piernas fue el contorno de las piernas más 1 cm para el margen de costura. La curva del tiro del pantalón es de unos 2 cm de profundidad.
For the jeans, I traced the fabric as you can see in the picture, it is half the contour of the whole waist plus 2 cm for the seam allowance, for the legs it was the contour of the legs plus 1 cm for the seam allowance. The curve of the pant leg is about 2 cm deep.
Luego, recorté y sujeté con alfileres, para empezar a coser, uniendo las piezas, empezando por las curvas del tiro de pantalón. Después, lo abrí, para unir las piernas, todo primero con costura recta y luego con una costura en zig zag. Para la cintura hice un dobladillo simple y para los ruedos con ayuda de un saca costura, le deshilache el orillo, dándole ese efecto flecos.
Then, I cut out and pinned, to start sewing, joining the pieces, starting with the curves of the trouser leg. Then, I opened it, to join the legs, first with straight stitching and then with a zig zag stitch. For the waistband I made a simple hem and for the hems, using a seam ripper, I frayed the selvedge, giving it that fringed effect.
Para la blusa, fue un cuadrado, primero hice un canal para atravesar una elástica en la parte superior de la blusa, luego la cerré por el lateral. Una vez justa a la medida de Isidora, le cosí a mano los cordones que son los tirantes de la blusa, y los sellé con el encendedor para que se mantenga y no se deshilache.
For the blouse, it was a square, first I made a channel to go through an elastic at the top of the blouse, then I closed it on the side. Once it was just the right size for Isidora, I hand sewed the laces that are the straps of the blouse, and sealed them with the lighter so that it would hold and not fray.
Para finalizar, limpié los excesos de hilos, le arreglé las trenzas a Isidora y le pegué un poco más el lacito en su peinado. Así quedó lista para irse con su dueña a construir una vida de aventuras y buenas historias. ¿Qué les pareció todo el outfit de Isidora? To finish, I cleaned up the excess threads, fixed Isidora's braids and stuck a little more ribbon in her hairstyle. Que bonita es Isidora, me encantan sus trenzas y la expresión de su rostro, me hizo recordar a la abuelita de mis hijos, una señora muy dulce que tenía una larga cabellera blanca que solía trenzar. Me gustan mucho las muñecas de trapo porque siento que tienen personalidad y están impregnadas de los sentimientos de quien las hace y de quien las adopta.
