Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, I hope you are all doing great, thank God it is sunny today, unlike yesterday that we experienced a heavy downpour of rain, though it was so good for me as I used the opportunity to work on the project at hand. It's another beautiful day out here in this community and I will be sharing with you the making of these beautiful outfit made for my brother's two daughters.

Recently, I made 2 gown outfit for my sister's children using same fabric which was a gift from my uncle to the children, after the successful completion of the outfit, it was delivered and brother had to send his as well for me to make beautiful outfit for her daughter too.

My uncle will be having his birthday day thanksgiving in church and he decided to gift the children that would be available this particular fabric for the Thanksgiving service and as the seamstress in the house, I was given the fabric to make simple and beautiful outfit for the children.

For my brother's children, I didn't want to make same style as I made for my sister's children so I came up with this simple gathered pleat gown with a stylish design upper bodice and a flare sleeves with a bias tape round the hem.

After taking the bodice measurement, it was used to cut the lower part of the gown which was x3 of the waist circumference measurement plus zipper allowance and full length measurement, then I ran a long stitch on it and it was gathered together

Then I proceeded to the upper bodice which I cut out using the upper bodice measurement to cut out a basic block pattern for the front and back with an asymmetric neckline in front

A matching lace fabric was cut out to make a design on the front neckline and it was tape with a bias tape

The front and back were sewn together with lining which was used to turn it inside out for neat finishing before it was sewn together on the shoulder and with sides seam allowance

I cut out a long piece which was used to make a belt on both sides of the waistline

The lower part was then sewn to the upper bodice to the zipper allowance at the back

I cut out lining and gathered it before it was sewn on the waist line to cover the rough part inside and a long zipper was sewn to the zipper allowance.

For the sleeves, I cut out a full circle using the armhole circumference and the desired length of the sleeves and the hem was pipe with a bias tape round

Finally, the sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference and I have a complete outfit for my brother's children.

The same process was used to achieve the one one since it's same style but different measurement.
