It's been awhile since I made a post but I'm glad to be back again with my creativity, I'm sure you all are doing great. As the preparation of valentine is all in the atmosphere, I'm sure you are preparing something nice for someone out there to express your love for them.

I'm so surprised at the valentine gift made for me by @monica-ene, this is a great show of love, this has really inspired me to make something no matter how small for someone to appreciate their love, though, I intend to buy gift for people around me but this has inspired me to make something from my creativity which I will definitely make.

I will like to share this wrapper and blouse design I made for grandma recently, sometimes ago, I was call by my neighborhood grandma to make an outfit for her, this fabric was one of the fabric sold for women in church for a special program, grandma prefer to wait for me even when I'm not around for me to make her outfit for her, she would rather not wear it on the particular day everyone wear theirs, that was what happened in the case of this fabric, I was very busy but grandma was willing to wait until I was through with what I was doing which would be when they might have used the fabric in church, so I had to suspend what I was doing to help her make hers, since it's just a blouse and wrapper.

Fortunately for grandma, I have alli needed to make the style she wanted, funny enough, it was grandma that described what she actually wanted me to sew which was a single flare peplum blouse with puff sleeve and wrapper.

Seeing the fabric when it was given to me, I thought you make it creative by making it look like a two fabric combo, it's has a kind of design that makes it look like two different fabric so I had to let my creativity come to play it's role.

First of all was to cut out the wrapper, to do this, I measured out 2yards and 8" for the wrapper which was hem at the two edges with rope at the tip to make it easy to tie at the back, after sewing, it was set aside.

From the remaining fabric, I cut out a basic upper bodice with basic dart for the front and back with zipper allowance at the back as well.

The front and back were sewn together with lining and a band with the other pattern on the fabric.

Using the remaining fabric to cut out a 360° flare, it was turned inside out with lining to make it firm and sewn to the upper bodice.

To cut out the sleeves, I made a puff sleeve with elastic band at the hem to make it puffy

The sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference and I have a complete blouse on the wrapper.

Finally, this is the outfit I made for grandma with her fabric. She was so glad to see how I creatively combine the blouse and the applique added to the bust area.
