in NeedleWorkMonday3 years ago

Hello my hiver's, welcome to my blog, today I grabbed my thread, scissors and needle to participate in the OCD Community Impulse Contest #7: Highlighting NeedleWorkMonday, organized by @ocd, in order to support different communities that make life in La Colmena.

I have always liked to sew, as a child I made clothes for my dolls and when I was older I adjusted my clothes, maybe I don't do it very well, but I enjoy doing it; I decided to make something simple, some handles to lift the pots, I also made a small cloth to cover them, my project does not take many materials, I used fabric from some jeans that my mother no longer uses, a piece of fabric, a piece of ribbon that I had around, scissors, needle and thread.

The first thing I did was to cut two double rectangles of approximately 19 X 15 cm, cut another two rectangles a little less wide to place inside my grips.

I must obtain three rectangles for each piece that I am going to make, I join them together and proceed to sew the edges, at once I do it with the ribbon that I am going to use to decorate.

In one of the corners I leave enough tape to make a fold, which we will use to hang our gripper.

Once my piece was ready, what I did was to embroider a stripe in the middle, going from corner to corner.

Then with a piece of ribbon, I cut some hearts and baked them in a rustic way on the side, and I was ready to use my grips.

As I had a piece of fabric left I made a cloth to cover the pots, for this I cut a piece of fabric of approximately 40 X 40 cm and a rectangle of jeans of 15 X 12 cm.

Then I took the fabric and formed some folds on one of the edges by sewing long stitches, then I pulled the thread and to make it the size of one of the wider sides of the rectangle, then I proceeded to sew on the reverse side.

Leave one side unstitched so that you can flip the piece over:

To finish, place a double ribbon of the same fabric at the junction of the two pieces, then cut a pair of hearts and place them on top.
