Buba is a native outfit for the Yoruba women in Nigeria, but over time women from different cultures have adopted it.
Buba is a very simple, stress free top, that women use with wrappers to different occasions. It's could be sown with lace or Ankara.
I made one today for my aunty, one thing you need to Know is that it is an extremely free blouse, it should never be tight.
So all you need for the measurements are the shoulder measurements, and length. The burst and waist is an additional information so as you don't end up making it tight.
It's more like cutting the neck open and putting it on. Yeah, that simple.
After the cutting, all you have to do is join them together. And your buba is ready, you can use it with your wrapper and gele.
Beautiful!!!

Lovely! It looks so comfortable. I remember dashikis being popular in America in the 1970s. The men wore them and they were loose and free through the body and sleeves.
