So we will be making a fast and simple short gown, you can rock to church or any where.
Quickly let's run now the procedure.
- get your measurements ready(length, hips, waist, shoulder,)
- fold your material into two parts to give an A shape.
mark the desired length. From the top of the material, measure down to 25 inches at that point you take your hip measurement.
Adele 25 in Mark measure sidewards the hip measurements.
from the top of the material measure 8 inches for the bust measurement.
what that means is that at the 8-inch Mark that is where you will be taking your bust measurement.
okay so from the top of the material you run the tape down to your desired half length, for me they have length is 15 that is also where I will take my waist measurement.
so from that 15 inch Mark that is where you'll be taking your waist measurement.
Mark that on your material then at the top most part of that material that is where you will be taking your shoulder measurement my shoulder is the shoulder or 14 so I'll be dividing it by to give me 7 and I'll mark it.
okay so don't forget the neck since it's going to be an A-line gown the neck is going to be relatively small so you're going to be taking a 3 by 2 for the front part and 3 by 1 for the back.
note for the neck measurement whatever measurement you take is based on how much you want the neck of the dress to be open I don't want the neck too wide that is why I am taking that small inches.
Ok so I put a slit in the front of the clothes and in the back, that was the back is so I can attach a zipper to it.
round up your sewing by joining the front and the back and putting the hand of your choice.
Boom your gown is ready!!
