Crochet sunflowers / Girasoles a crochet (eng/esp)

Today I want to tell you about my new crochet and knitting projects and some other things.
Several weeks ago I wanted to buy some new materials to make some projects that I had seen, both in this community and in some other website (pinterest) that I was very excited about. We are talking about the crochet FLOWER BOUQUETS.
To buy the yarn and other things I needed, I decided to take out my hbd and some hive too (which was about 57 usd in total). And that money was enough and I had some left over.

Hoy les quiero contar de mis nuevos proyecto de crochet y tejido y otras cositas más.
Hace varias semanas quería comprarme materiales nuevos para hacer unos trabajos que había visto, tanto en esta comunidad como en algún otro sitio d internet (pinterest) que me tenían super entusiasmada. Se trata de los RAMOS DE FLORES a crochet.
Para comprar los hilos y demás cosas que necesitaba, decidí sacar mis hbd y algo de hive también (que eran aproximadamente 57 usd en total). Y ese dinero me alcanzó y me sobró un poco.

What did I buy?
Yarns: I chose acrylics in pastel colours, because they are easier to match and also those were the colours I saw in the bouquets on the internet. Although I couldn't get them all in the same thickness, I'm happy with this purchase because I got almost all the colours I was looking for.

I also bought craft wire which is very useful for the leaves, liquid silicone, sticks to make the stems and toy stuffing.

Of course these materials, like the yarn and toy stuffing, will be left over for other projects, so this purchase was well worth it.

¿Qué compré?
Hilos: elegí acrílicos en tonos pasteles, porque son más fáciles de combinar y además esos eran los colores que veía en los ramos de internet. Aunque no pude conseguirlos a todos en el mismo grosor, estoy conforme con esta compra porque conseguí casi todos los colores que buscaba.

También compré alambre para manualidades que sirve mucho para las hojas, silicona líquida, palillos para hacer los tallos y vellón siliconado para relleno.

Por supuesto que estos materiales, como el hilo y el vellón me van a sobrar para hacer otros proyectos, así que esta compra valió la pena.

Now I'm going to show you the first of many flowers I'm going to crochet, because I want to learn how to make several designs I HAVE A LONG LIST (chrysanthemums, lavenders, daisies, calla lilies, etc). The first one is a sunflower whose pattern I got from the internet, but I'm still going to show you this "summary" of the step by step.

First you crochet the circle that goes in the middle of the flower, I chose this camel colour because it combined well with the light colours. It only takes 7 rows with increases. I decided to make them both brown to make it "double sided" (in the original pattern the circle at the back is green).

Ahora les voy a mostrar la primera de varias flores que voy a tejer, porque quiero aprender a hacer varios diseños TENGO UNA LISTA LARGA (crisantemos, lavandas, margaritas, calas, etc). El primero es un girasol cuyo patrón saqué de internet, pero aún así les voy a mostrar este "resumen" del paso a paso.

Primero se teje el círculo que va en el centro de la flor, yo elegí este color camel porque combinaba bien con los colores claros. Solo lleva 7 vueltas con aumentos. Decidí hacerlos a los 2 marrones para que sea "doble faz" (en el patrón original el círculo de la parte trasera es verde)

Then I continued with the leaves, which is a bit difficult to crochet because you have to hold the wire. Several types of stitches are used: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and double treble crochet.

Luego yo seguí por la parte de las hojas, que es un poco complicado de tejer porque hay que sostener el alambre. Se usan varios tipos de puntos: punto bajo, punto medio alto, alto, doble alto, y triple.

And to finish the crocheted part I made the petals around the circles I made at the beginning. I think this was one of the most beautiful parts because it also involves stuffing the centre of the flower.

Y para terminar la parte tejida hice los pétalos alrededor de los círculos que tejí al principio. Creo que esta fue una de las partes más bonitas porque también incuye rellenar el centro de la flor.

Once we have our sunflower and its leaves ready, we just need to attach them to the stem with the help of the glue and the green yarn with which we will cover it.

Cuando ya tenemos nuestro girasol y sus hojas listas, solo queda unirlos al tallo con la ayuda del pegamento y el hilo verde con el que lo forraremos.

I put glue on the leaves to make them firm on the stick before covering them with yarn.

A las hojas, les puse pegamento para que queden firmes en el palillo antes de envolverlas con el hilo.

And this is what our sunflowers look like... soon I will be showing the next flowers, I think they might be daisies.

Y así es como son nuestros girasoles... pronto estaré mostrando las próximas flores, creo que pueden ser margaritas.
