Hello everyone in this lovely community
Happy Easter week to you all
Hope we're all enjoying the Easter break and it's significance
So today i want to share with you the steps i used in aking this bustier top with a detachable net with ankara skirt to attend a Traditional marriage of my friend and course mate
Throughout my years in school, from my first year till my final year currently we've never had a marriage ceremony for any of my colleagues, it's always burials but finally we received a good news that one of us will be getting married and so with so much excitement i decided to turn up looking so good, and i was so excited that I'm able to sew because I'd give myself the satisfaction i needed, I went through my TikTok in search of styles and then came up with this wonderful style and tried making it , Although I didn't have money to start early, i had to make the cloth within one day which is the day before the event
These are the materials i used in making it
- Ankara 2yards
- Lining 1 yard
- Warden(soft and hard)
- Black material
- Half yard of sample net
- Zipper
And these are the few steps i used in making it
Starting with the skirt,
I marked my waist measurement, hips measurement and full length on my folded material that is hips 37 divided by four, waist 25 divided by four and then addition 2 inches each for sewing
After marking them, i confirmed that it was accurate and started sewing it already
And proceeding to the bustier, i marked my bust point and also nipple to nipple point on the lining and then connected it with the measurement of my waist and my hips too, i cut them out and the soft warden i was going to attach to it
After working on my lining, I picked up my hard Warden which i was going to use for the bust part, i measured till my under bust and marked it on the warded and my bust size and then cut it out to attach on the lining
This time since i was working with the front, I picked up my main material and cut it according to the size of the lining and sew it accordingly
After sewing the front part, i then placed it on my body so that i can carve out the asymmetry style on the lower part of the top before turning it
After turning it, the process of the top was completed.
At this point i was so exhausted since it took me a whole day so i had to proceed into sewing the detachable net i wore inside and also the Zara cap i used a brown paper for it
And as it is seen , i was ready for the marriage
I got so many compliments and 2 of my course mates requested for the same style of which ill be delivering to them soon
I'm glad my cloth turned out well despite the rush I had to undergo, IT was my first time and I'm super proud of myself
I'd love to hear your thoughts about the dress,
Thank you so much for stopping by, I'm really grateful 💜❤️🔥
