Greetings dear community, today I share with you a super special project, because I had thought about it since the jewelry contest for mother's day that was held in this community, back then I made a bracelet for my mom @yole combining the technique of cross stitch with crochet, I liked the result so much that I thought of making a necklace for myself, but without realizing it, it took a long time, but it is time to start executing those projects that are only in my mind.

Materiales/ Materials

• Ganchillo # 4 (1.25mm)
• Hilo acrílico negro
• Tijera
• Tela para bordar
• Hilo para bordar: azul oscuro, azul claro, verde y negro.
• Pegamento para zapatos o tela
• Aguja para bordar
• Medallón de plástico con dos agujeros
• Lápiz
• 50 cm de cinta azul

• Crochet #4 (1.25mm)
• black acrylic yarn
• scissors
• Fabric to embroider
• Embroidery thread: dark blue, light blue, green and black.
• glue for shoes or fabric
• embroidery needle
• Plastic medallion with two holes
• pencil
• 50 cm of blue ribbon

Proceso/ Proceso

Comencé bordando la calavera con el hilo negro, luego las flores con los hilos azules y las hojas con hilo verde vale la pena mencionar que escogí una tela para bordar que trae la cuadricula de agujeros bastante pequeña para poder lograr que el punto de cruz se viera muy pequeño.

I started embroidering the skull with black thread, then the flowers with blue thread and the leaves with green thread. It is worth mentioning that I chose an embroidery fabric that has a fairly small grid of holes to be able to make the cross stitch look very small.

Con un lápiz marqué el tamaño del medallón en el tela de bordar, corté y pegué el medallón y esperé a que secara.

With a pencil I marked the size of the medallion on the embroidery cloth, cut and glued the medallion and waited for it to dry.

Con el ganchillo y el hilo negro hice 55 cadenas, luego 1 punto alto doble, dos cadenas y salté dos cadenas, repetí la secuencia hasta al final. Luego pasé el hilo por los agujeros de medallón y repetí el procedimiento.

With the hook and the black thread I made 55 chains, then 1 double treble crochet, two chains and I skipped two chains, I repeated the sequence until the end. I then threaded the thread through the medallion holes and repeated the procedure.

En la siguiente hilera hice 1 punto deslizado en el lugar de los puntos altos dobles de la hilera anterior, mientras que en los espacios o agujeros hice 3 puntos altos dobles, cubrí toda la hilera siguiendo esa secuencia.

On the next row I made 1 slip stitch in place of the double treble crochets from the previous row, while in the spaces or holes I made 3 double treble crochets, covering the entire row following that sequence.

Por último pero no menos importante, deslicé la cinta intercalado las puntadas por arriba y por debajo.

Last but not least, I slipped the tape in between the stitches above and below.

Resultado / Result

Combinando estas técnicas se obtiene un resultado muy elegante, yo estoy totalmente satisfecha con la apariencia de la gargantilla y siento que quiero hace muchas más con otros diseños en punto cruz. Espero les haya gustado.

Combining these techniques, a very elegant result is obtained, I am totally satisfied with the appearance of the choker and I feel that I want to make many more with other cross-stitch designs. I hope you liked it.
