Saludos querida comunidad, hoy les comparto mi participación en el Splinterlands Art Contest 282, para el cual hice un colgante de pared en macramé con el personaje Gobalano Soldier, este personaje me llamó mucho la atención por su atuendo, estos soldados son duendes pertenecientes a la familia Gobalano, los cuales se encargan de sacar provecho de cada situación, por lo que trabajan para la Legión del Caos siendo los encargados de la recaudación de impuestos, intimidación, extorsión, secuestro y otro negocios de esa índole. Espero que les guste ver el proceso de creación ☺️

Greetings dear community, today I share with you my participation in the Splinterlands Art Contest 282, for which I made a macramé wall hanging with the character Gobalano Soldier, this character caught my attention because of his outfit, these soldiers are goblins belonging to the Gobalano family, who are in charge of taking advantage of each situation, which is why they work for the Legion of Chaos, being in charge of tax collection, intimidation, extortion, kidnapping and other businesses of that nature. Proceso / Process

Lo primero que hice fue hacer un recorte de la imagen de referencia de manera rectangular, determine el color del material a usar, usé hilo acrílico de 1mm en los colores: morado claro y oscuro para el fondo, dos tonos de marrón y 1 de beige para el sombrero y el saco, ocre claro y naranja para el chaleco, blanco y gris para el pañuelo o corbata, rojo claro y oscuro para el rostro. Amarillo para los ojos, los botones y el arete de la oreja. Use el hilo negro para todo el delineado de la figura.

The first thing I did was make a rectangular cutout of the reference image, determine the color of the material to use, I used 1mm acrylic thread in the colors: light and dark purple for the background, two shades of brown and 1 of beige for the hat and jacket, light ocher and orange for the vest, white and gray for the handkerchief or tie, light and dark red for the face. Yellow for the eyes, buttons and earring. Use the black thread to outline the entire figure.

Comencé tomando el hilo lila y corté 19 hebras de 48cm de largo, tomé por la mitad cada una de estas y las anude al palito para obtener 38 hilos guía.

I started by taking the lilac thread and cut 19 strands 48cm long, I took each of these in half and tied them to the stick to obtain 38 guide threads.

Hice dos hileras de nudos del color de fondo para luego comenzar la figura empezando desde el sombrero, cada nudo es un cuadro de color por lo que la imagen se construye como si fuese un pixel art. En cada nudo el hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía, los nudos se hacen a la derecha en la hileras impares y a la izquierda en las hileras pares.

I made two rows of knots of the background color to then start the figure starting from the hat, each knot is a colored square so the image is built as if it were pixel art. In each knot the knotting thread wraps each of the guide threads twice, the knots are tied to the right in the odd rows and to the left in the even rows.

Esta es la primera vez que incluyo dos colores en el fondo pero me gustó mucho, a cada avance de hilera podía apreciar la construcción del fondo con las rayas morado sobre el color lila. En total hice 80 hileras de nudos.

This is the first time that I have included two colors in the background but I really liked it, with each row progress I could appreciate the construction of the background with the purple stripes on the lilac color. In total I made 80 rows of knots.

Para finalizar dividí en cuatro partes los hilos guía y con el hilo naranja hice un nudo en cada parte. Luego con 6 hebras de 24 cm de hilo de color ligar hice una trenza para anudar el palito y hacer el colgante de pared.

To finish, I divided the guide threads into four parts and with the orange thread I tied a knot in each part. Then with 6 strands of 24 cm of garter-colored thread I made a braid to tie the stick and make the wall hanging.

Resultado / Result

Realmente me gustó el resultado, el personaje me recuerda mucho a los actores de la película Pandillas de Nueva York 😄

I really liked the result, the character reminds me a lot of the actors from the movie Gangs of New York 😄
