Saludos querida comunidad, finalmente llego el día de mi participación en el Concurso Needlework Your Barbie, estaba muy entusiasmada trabajando en mi proyecto pero los días pasaban y entre tantos apagones y cosas que hacer pensé que no iba a llegar a tiempo, pero logré finalizar con éxito el día de hoy y casualmente estoy sin electricidad en este momento en casa 😅, pero ahora lo mas importante es compartir con ustedes mi proyecto, como en las ocasiones anteriores en lugar de usar como modelo a una muñeca Barbie, yo utilizo a un amigurumi que hice en el 2021 y se ha convertido en mi modelo oficial para este concurso cada año, al final de la publicación les muestro los atuendos anteriores de mi muñeca, pero el motivo de este año son las flores, por eso escogí rosas rojas. Espero les guste.

Greetings dear community, the day of my participation in the Needlework Your Barbie Contest finally arrived. I was very excited working on my project but the days went by and between so many blackouts and things to do I thought I was not going to arrive on time, but I managed to finish with success today and coincidentally I am without electricity at the moment at home 😅, but now the most important thing is to share with you my project, as on previous occasions instead of using a Barbie doll as a model, I use an amigurumi which I made in 2021 and has become my official model for this contest every year, at the end of the post I show you my doll’s previous outfits, but this year’s motif is flowers, that’s why I chose red roses. I hope you like it.

Proceso / Process

Utilicé solo hilo acrílico de 1mm para crochet, en color negro y rojo, ganchillo #4 (1.25mm). Comencé con la idea de hacer un vestido negro para que el color de las rosas rojas resaltaran aún más, para esto hice dos triángulos para el escote del vestido, la base de cada triángulo es de 6 puntos bajos, para la espalda hice 8 cadenas hice 8 puntos bajos en la primera hilera, luego hice 1 aumento por 4 hileras hasta obtener 12, uní los triángulos, hice 3 cadenas, luego uní las espalda y luego 3 cadenas, en las hilera siguiente sobre las cadenas hice puntos bajos, obteniendo 30 puntadas, seguí recto por 7 hileras.

Para ampliar la falda del vestido, hice 6 aumentos por 5 hileras para obtener 60 puntadas, luego apliqué la técnica de crochet Wayuu conocida en otras partes con tapestry, para esto usé un patrón de rosas de una imagen de referencia, en esta técnica se trabaja tomando sólo el lado de atrás de cada puntada mientras se va escondiendo el hilo alma en este caso el rojo, cuando se hace una puntada con hilo rojo se esconde entonces el hilo negro y así sucesivamente hasta completar la figura. Para finalizar hice una hilera de puntos bajos solo con el hilo negro. Luego retome el escote e hice una hilera de puntos bajos, haciendo 8 cadenas para los tirantes , luego hice puntos deslizados sobre las cadenas.

I used only 1mm acrylic crochet thread, in black and red, hook #4 (1.25mm). I started with the idea of making a black dress so that the color of the red roses would stand out even more, for this I made two triangles for the neckline of the dress, the base of each triangle is 6 single crochets, for the back I made 8 chains. 8 single crochets in the first row, then I made 1 increase for 4 rows until I got 12, I joined the triangles, made 3 chains, then I joined the backs and then 3 chains, in the next row on the chains I made single crochets, obtaining 30 stitches , I continued straight for 7 rows.

To expand the skirt of the dress, I made 6 increases for 5 rows to obtain 60 stitches, then I applied the Wayuu crochet technique known elsewhere with tapestry, for this I used a rose pattern from a reference image, in this technique you work taking only the back side of each stitch while hiding the core thread, in this case the red one, when a stitch is made with red thread the black thread is then hidden and so on until the figure is completed. To finish, I made a row of single crochets with only the black thread. Then I picked up the neckline and made a row of single crochets, making 8 chains for the straps, then I made slip stitches over the chains.

Quería un aspecto elegante y vintage para este atuendo, para esto pensé que lo mejor sería hacer un sombrero. Para el sombrero con hilo negro hice 16 puntos altos en un anillo, luego hice 8 aumentos de puntos altos por tres hileras, luego hice dos hileras de puntos altos. Hice una hilera de puntos bajos. Para la solapa del sombrero tomando sólo la parte del frente de las puntadas cambie a puntos bajos, intercalando una hilera de 20 aumentos y una hileras si aumentos dos veces, finalizando con una hilera de 20 aumentos y una hilera de puntos deslizados.

I wanted an elegant and vintage look for this outfit, for this I thought it would be best to make a hat. For the hat with black yarn I made 16 double crochets in a ring, then I made 8 double crochet increases for three rows, then I made two rows of double crochets. I made a row of single crochets. For the hat flap, taking only the front part of the stitches, change to single crochets, interspersing a row of 20 increases and a row of double increases, ending with a row of 20 increases and a row of slip stitches.

Para la rosa del sombrero con el hilo rojo hice una base de 50 cadenas, sobre estas hice 12 pétalos agrupados en tres tamaños diferentes, los cosí en forma de espiral y luego cosí la rosa al sombrero.

For the rose on the hat, with the red thread I made a base of 50 chains, on these I made 12 petals grouped in three different sizes, I sewed them in a spiral shape and then I sewed the rose to the hat.

Para los zapatos hice 6 cadenas de base, haciendo aumentos hasta obtener 24, luego hice un pequeño borde de una hilera de rojo, luego retomé con el color o negro haciendo el cuerpo de zapatos, hice 6 disminuciones para cerrar la punta de zapato y una hilera con 4 cadenas para el tirante.

For the shoes I made 6 base chains, making increases until I got 24, then I made a small border of a row of red, then I resumed with the color or black making the body of the shoes, I made 6 decreases to close the toe of the shoe and one row with 4 chains for the strap.

Resultado / Result

Me encantó este atuendo de rosas para mi muñeca, los atuendos anteriores también me han gustado pero han tenido una apariencia más infantil, este en cambio es mucho más elegante y creo que yo sería muy feliz usando algo similar. Muchas gracias por leermel🥰

I loved this rose outfit for my doll, I also liked the previous outfits but they had a more childish appearance, this one on the other hand is much more elegant and I think I would be very happy wearing something similar. Thank you very much for reading me 🥰
