Welcome to a new Monday of needlework, dear friends of Hive ❣️. I hope you are starting the week with a lot of energy, or at least I am luckily doing so. This weekend I had a great walk with my friend, we went just 50 km away from home but that was enough to cross to another country. It was a great experience and I came back with recharged batteries to get down to work. For this week's project I took the risk of trying a new mold and luckily everything went according to plan, wo-hoo 😃.
Bienvenidos a un nuevo lunes de trabajos de agujas, queridos amigos de Hive ❣️. Espero que esten empezando la semana con mucha energía, o al menos yo sí lo estoy haciendo por suerte. Este fin de semana tuve un gran paseo con mi amiga, nos fuimos apenas 50 km lejos de casa pero eso nos alcanzó para cruzar hasta otro país. Fue una experiencia genial y volví con las pilas recargadas para poner manos a la obra. Como proyecto de esta semana me arriesgué a probar un molde nuevo y por suerte todo salió de acuerdo al plan, wo-hoo 😃.
When it comes to lingerie, I always like to explore new fields to have different projects and a long time ago I became "obsessed" with a particular type of pantyhose: the one with the wave tip of the lace on the contour of the legs. In all the pantyhose I've done before, the wave tip of the lace is above the waist and it looks good, but I wanted to modify this a bit. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to make the entire leg contour wave-shaped, but at least I was able to do it on the back, obtaining a garment with plenty of fabric ❤️.
Cuando se trata de lencería siempre me gusta explorar nuevos campos para tener proyectos diferentes y hace tiempo me "obsesioné" con un tipo de panty en particular: la que tiene la punta de onda de la puntilla sobre el contorno de las piernas. En todas las pantys que hice anteriormente, la punta de onda de la puntilla está sobre la cintura y queda bien, pero tenía ganas de modificar un poco esto. Hasta el momento no logré decifrar cómo hacer para que todo el contorno de la pierna sea de punta de onda, pero al menos lo pude hacer en la parte de atrás obteniendo una prenda con bastante tela ❤️.
The main difficulty is that you have to transform the curves into straight lines to be able to support the mold and cut the lace fabric. This is easily done in the back if we join the crotch with the side in a straight line, but in the front the same does not happen since the curve is more pronounced. That's why for this first attempt I cut the front part out of cotton fabric, where I was going to be able to keep the original shape ❣️.
La principal dificultad es que hay que transformar las curvas en rectas para poder apoyar el molde y cortar la tela de puntilla. Esto se hace fácilmente en la parte de atrás si unimos la entrepierna con el costado en linea recta, pero en el frente no sucede lo mismo ya que la curva es más pronunciada. Es por eso que para este primer intento la parte del enfrente la corté en tela de algodón, en donde iba a poder mantener la forma original ❣️.
As for the mold, this time I followed the tracing tutorial in this video, although as always I made some modifications. At this point in life, I already have some experience in terms of measures that work, so I didn't follow everything to the letter, but I think I still achieved a good mold. What I liked is that the waist is very high, something that I love because I like to feel my hips well protected 😂.
En cuanto al molde, esta vez seguí el tutorial de trazado de este video, aunque como siempre hice algunas modificaciones. A esta altura de la vida ya tengo algo de experiencia en cuanto a medidas que funcionan así que no seguí al pie de la letra todo pero creo que igual logré un buen molde. Lo que me gustó es que la cintura es de tiro bien alto, algo que me encanta porque me gusta sentir mis caderas bien protegidas 😂.
Unlike the other panties I made, this one is made with elastic only in the front because the back part is contained with the same elasticity of the fabric. For this garment I used the supported elastic technique because I wanted all the detail to be noticed and also because it is faster than other methods. Once we have the front part ready, we join it with the back part 💞.
A diferencia de las demás panties que hice, esta se confecciona con elástico solo en el frente porque la parte de atrás esta contenida con la misma elasticidad de la tela. Para esta prenda utilicé la técnica de elástico apoyado porque quería que se note todo el detalle y además porque es más rápido que otros métodos. Una vez que tenemos la parte del frente lista, la unimos con la parte de atrás 💞.
I'll confess that I finished this project this afternoon just before going to work: I didn't want to waste the sunlight to get some good shots so I was in a hurry but I also wanted to do it right. "Go slowly if you're in a hurry" they say, so my brain was focused to the fullest. As a last step, I placed elastic around the waist and as a final detail, my classic little black bow, which by the way, cost me a lot to make and sew by hand with these giant nails 😅.
Les voy a confesar que este proyecto lo terminé esta tarde justo antes de ir al trabajo: no quería desaprovechar la luz solar para obtener algunas buenas tomas así que estaba apurada pero también lo quería hacer bien. "Ve despacio si estás apurado" dicen, así mi cerebro estaba concentrado al máximo. Como último paso, coloqué elástico en toda la cintura y como detalle final, mi clásico moñito negro, que dicho sea de paso, me costó mucho hacer y coser a mano con estas uñas gigantes 😅.
Y este es el resultado final ❤️. ¿Qué les parece?
Perhaps in the photos it is not noticeable, but this panty is huge. When I finished it I thought WTF and ran to try it on, but to my surprise it looks really nice on it and it's not that big. It has a good shape in the front, something I like to see in modern pantyhose, with a good fit to the waist. I'm glad I trusted this mold and my previous knowledge because everything combined gave a great result. And the lace on the back looks great 😍.
Quizás en las fotos no se nota, pero esta panty es enorme. Cuando la terminé pensé WTF y corrí a probarmela, pero para mi sorpresa queda muy linda puesta y no es tan grande. Tiene una buena forma en el frente, algo que me gusta ver en las pantys modernas, con buen calce hasta la cintura. Me alegro de haber confiado en este molde y en mis conocimientos previos porque todo combinado dió un gran resultado. Y la puntilla en la parte de atrás se ve genial 😍.
Of course I'm going to continue investigating how to get the pantyhose I want, with lace front and back, but in the meantime I'm going to enjoy this one, which isn't bad at all. Another thing is that checking my supplies I realized that I have no more elastic for straps, so I will spend a while without making bras until I buy them again. This will come in handy for practicing panties until I'm tired, although my wardrobe will be grateful 😃.
Por supuesto voy a seguir investigando como lograr la panty que quiero, con puntilla adelante y atrás, pero mientras tanto voy a disfrutar de esta que no está nada mal. Otra cosa es que revisando mis insumos me dí cuenta de que no tengo más elástico para breteles, así que pasaré un tiempo sin hacer corpiños hasta que vuelva a comprarlos. Esto me va a venir bien para practicar bombachas hasta que me cansé, aunque mi guardarropas va a estar agradecido 😃.

Yes, in fact when I was doing this I was thinking that it is the fabric that you like. I still have enough... I think I had bought about 10 meters and for each garment you only use 0.5m exaggerating... so there's enough for a while 😂.
And the nails, they look good but a bit clumsy for fine work. I'm almost used to them though 😅.
