Such a privilege to bless people with our gifts and talents, A diy dress I made for a friend.

If more of clothes seems to be the only gift I will be giving to people for life I really do not mind even though I wish to do more. I have shared my food, home and clothes with people. Sometimes people visit me and feel like carting away with everything I have(especially clothes) even though it is visible that I have too little yet I have shared as much as I can of my belongings to people and they still desire the few I have.

It is no little wonder that people love to come around me. Some come to spend the weekend because of the atmosphere of peace, joy and comfort they experience. Sometimes it's not about how much you have but the atmosphere around you. I love to make people happy and meet with their needs in everyway I can.
Mercy is another friend that came visiting and the joy she felt had no bound when she left my home.
She barely got home when she sent me a text of how much she will be missing my company.

Thanks to #needleworkmomday and the little knowledge of fashion I grudgingly acquired because I never wanted to learn fashion at first but since I had no privilege of a career after school because of the unemployment issues in my country I had to find something worth doing.

I learnt a bit of fashion and developed my skill more in this community over the years. I just have to develop some love and passion for fashion regardless of how much I never liked it at first, this must be so in order for the knowledge of fashion to stick and sink into my brain. Now that the sewing skill has been blessing people, I have found more joy and peace sewing .

I did alot of needleworkmomday projects here while some are unfinished I have loads and loads of clothes. My friend's come visiting and often times wish to cart away with all these clothes I have left lying idle. They understand the importance of fashion and all of them want to enjoy wearing new clothes everyday.

My friend's want to wear new clothes everyday of which they do not have whole I have lots of new (though unfinished) clothes lying in my home of which I do not wear. I am not the out door type and my outings have been restricted to just church and farm. I could wear anything I like to farm and even church. Once my clothes are clean enough I am good to go. Alot of engagement on the farm and even online here prevents me from making new clothes for my self or even completing a finished projects. I have no jobs that needs me to wear new and clean clothes everyday. I could wear my boxers all day and continue enjoying some engagement and quality time online, of course it doesn't matter whatever I wear in the house. Hence I have no official places that demands wearing some good new clothes everyday.

It's is good that I am busy doing something at least rather than been idle. And if paradvebture I will be going out for any reason I can pick up a cloth and sacrifice some sleep to make me a new clothes and appear nice to those outdoor functions.

Looking at my bags of clothes, my friend Mercy came visiting and went through the outfits to make some selections for herself. She has picked an outfit I wasn't ready to let go of because I loved it so much. We fought over it a little , 🤣🤣😂 you know that kind of ladies fight over something they love.

When she saw that I wasn't ready to give up she has gone to the market and bought two new fabrics. Upon reaching the house she had told me that I must sew her a dress since I didn't want to let go of my favorite clothes she has picked.

I was really exhausted this weekend and wasn't in the mood to paddle any machine at all, but there was no way I could explain this that she will accept and for the sake of friendship I lazily stood up to make her dress after church and Sunday lunch of rice.

The fabric is a frail but thank goodness I have my zigzag machine that helped me secure the edges here

And then the sewing here I was fixing the zipper.

I was able to cut and sew one of the fabrics for her and pleaded with her to understand that I was really tired and my health conditions too.
This was completed in 3hrs, I started at about 1pm and was done by past 3pm among other distractions in the house

She took her dress with so much gratitude of how much she loved it and I was pleased that I was able to yet make a sacrifice to clothe a friend. We spend some quality time together as she has traveled from far to spend the weekend with me. After wards I saw her off to the pack and came home to have a long sleep since I was really exhausted already

The fashion design work I had earlier despised in my teenage years because I wanted to be a study something else in school and pick up a different profession has now become a skill that is blessing my life and the people around me.
