Hello needleworks
A big warm greetings from me to you all to make your day special, how are you and how is work going around you, i hope everything are perfectly fine, I'm here today with a very special and beautiful idea and pattern to share with you guys, it was an urgent work which i didn't disappoint myself on a faithful day, this is all about the simple steps I carried in making a Halter neck free gown dress for myself for an urgent occasion.
I feel so excited sometimes for accepting this sewing work and i took it so serious, you know that sometime you might have an urgent occasion to attend and you probably have a style of dress you want to go with unfortunately you wwnt to a tailor and she probably told you she have no chance, I'm saying this with experience, i know it happens to you too, sometimes we do not have to regret on something we decided to do, no matter what it takes and how it is, we need to believe on ourselves and have hope for tomorrow that of ot doesn't work today, it will definitely work tomorrow, some of us here we do not have a shop but we managed our home like me and now things are really had here, so customers are not sewing clothes constantly except there a traditional marriage to attend and they brought their uniforms to sew, a lot of them prefer buying already made in the market and use, shay.... ooooooh we can't drag nor fight them, so as it is now i normally sew for my friends, sometimes my family members or myself and my child.
So Tuesday was like a bad day to me, i wasn't feeling too well and i was feeling so weak and sleepy, catching cool all over my body, so i forgot i had an occasion on Wednesday day which was yesterday and we had to join a bus by 9 o clock dot, due to my pregnancy and my tummy is getting bigger, so all of my free gown became so tight and I'm not comfortably with it, i rush and comport myself together then i check up my time it was evening time and i didn't want to miss the occasion because it was an important one, so i took the remaining fabric that I kept for a long time and i was thinking on a simple style that will not give me so much stress, i was so excited seeing a nepa lights so i dicided to make a Halter neck free dress with a pleating at the down hem part.
So i quickly started with the cutting process, although i was having a waist pain, i finished up cutting it with all my necessary measurements and i kept them so i woke up very early yesterday which was the occasion day, i started by cutting out my black material and bind up the front and back hamhold.
After that i joined the front and back body together then i cut out the black material by 1.5 inch width then i cut oit the length according to my neck measurements size, so i use ir and bind the neck properly.
So i then brought out my black long zip and put it carefully so that the neck line will be equal.
After that i cut out the down pleating pieces by 8 inches width and 31 inches length, i opened up a space at the back side because i want a joining at the back only, so i bend the hem and started pleating it as tue final work.
Here is the outcome of it.
It was just a simple free dress, although it was my first time sewing a Halter neck dress but i was just seeing it coming out so perfectly but tue hamhold was a little tight and the zipper was not as long as i expected but i just have to manage and wear it till i come back and work on it again, it was looking so nice and free on me and that got me so excited because i didn't disappointed myself and i joined up the buss in time, i hope tou like the dress.
