🇪🇸 ~ ¡Feliz primer día de 2025 a todos!, ayer fue un 31 de Diciembre super lovely en familia y estoy muy feliz de haber comenzado el año con buen pie.

Como primer blog de año nuevo quiero compartir la segunda parte y destino final del bordado de Eeyore que tanto cariño recibió hace 3 días, ¡muchas gracias por el apoyo! 🤗 💖

El contexto de este proyecto es que mi amiga @nurycos quería obsequiarle algo especial a su mamá para Navidad, que es fan de este personaje, y yo con mucho gusto acepté, además de estar muy agradecida por el voto de confianza.

🇺🇸 ~ Happy first day of 2025 everyone!, Yesterday was a super nice December 31st with the family and I am so happy to have started the year off on the right foot.

As the first blog of the new year I want to share the second part and final destination of Eeyore's embroidery that received so much love 3 days ago, thanks so much for the support! 🤗 💖

The context of this project is that my friend @nurycos wanted to give her mom, who is a fan of this character, something special for Christmas, and I gladly accepted, besides being very grateful for the vote of confidence.

✦ First we talked about the type of tote bag she wanted, she chose a simple but padded envelope type ✦

✦ Then I went to the fabric store and showed Nury many, many, many pictures of different blue and purple upholstery fabrics and bought 1 meter of the one she chose - the width was 2.50 meters - ✦

✦ The selected size was that of a legal folder and a little more ✦

✦ Then I marked and cut the body of the bag, the lining, the pockets, the handles, and with special care I marked the central window that would show the embroidery ✦

✦ The trick to getting it right is to make this window 2 cm smaller than the final frame you want to get ✦

✦ Then I protected the embroidery in a kind of sealed case made of clear PVC fabric. I had trouble sewing it on the machine, so I sewed part of it by hand ✦

✦ This way it will be protected from dirt and moisture, and if the bag is damaged in the future, you can safely remove the embroidery to send it to be framed ✦

✦ The lining was originally intended to have 7 pockets but I had to reduce it to 3 pockets. With the installation of the quilted wadding I had no problems ✦

✦ This is my favorite part, when I'm about to close the whole piece, finally install the liner but before that, center the handles! ✦

✦ It's the first time I make a totebag with double handles, handles for the shoulders and short handles for the hands, I love it! ✦

✦ Also note that I added a gold-colored magnetic closure to make the bag secure but easy to close. You can also see when the lining was installed and we turned the whole piece over, ready for the final edge stitching ✦

✦ The burrito's tail loop contains some wadding too, to make it fluffy! ✦

✦ Here you can see the finished totebag and the undecorated burrito tail. For the hair part of the tail I made a synthetic leather pendant, what do you think of this safety clasp? ✦

✦ Before you start packing everything up, place the tail on a small safety base and you're done! ✦

Para poder cumplir con esta comisión tuve muchos problemas extraños e inexplicables, a veces fue gracioso y a veces me asusté mucho porque Navidad se acercaba y yo todavía no había terminado de ensamblar el totebag.

I had many strange and inexplicable problems to fulfill this mission, sometimes it was funny and sometimes I got really scared because Christmas was coming and I still hadn't finished assembling the bag.

También subestimé el grosor de la tela de tapicería y el hecho que a medida que coses ella reduce un poco, por tanto las medidas finales del bolso son un poco complicadas de calcular, por tanto es mejor dejar hasta e doble de medidas de margen de seguridad.

I also underestimated the thickness of the upholstery fabric and the fact that it shrinks a bit while sewing, so the final dimensions of the bag are a bit complicated to calculate, so it is better to leave up to twice the safety margin.

Hacer este bolso fue toda una aventura y un recordatorio de que lo que parece simple no lo es. Me divertí mucho y lo cosí con mucha ilusión porque es un pedido de alguien muy muy especia para mi.

Making this bag was an adventure and a reminder that what seems easy is not. I had a lot of fun and sewed it with great enthusiasm because it is a request from someone very special to me.

✦ I wrapped it with all the love in the world and made a little special decoration in the early morning! I like to send my items in boxes with enough space so they don't get squashed and crushed, I also include some nice and sweet gifts ✦

✦ I currently have a wonderful and super responsible person who makes personal deliveries within the city, I am very grateful to him for agreeing to make this delivery on a Sunday! ✦

Esta fue la última comisión importante que acepté a final de 2024, quería darle toda mi atención y cuidado y tuve muchísimos problemas para terminarlo porque durante esos días hubo muchas emergencias veterinarias en mi casa 😿 🩹 🤧

Afortunadamente pude terminarlo a tiempo, y sí, @nurycos recibió la encomienda a tiempo y tuvimos una conversación-reacción muy bonita. Nury es mi tipo de cliente ideal, es educada, gentil, y con una paciencia infinita, y yo que soy tan nerviosa por cumplir correctamente los compromisos, valoro un universo a las personas empáticas como ella ; ; u ; ; ❤️‍🩹

Espero este año poder seguir trabajando juntas, de hecho tenemos varios proyectos en lista y tengo fé que pronto podremos reunirlos para comenzarlos 🚀 💫

This was the last big order I accepted at the end of 2024, I wanted to give it all my attention and care and I had a lot of problems to finish it because at those days there were many veterinary emergencies in my house 😿 🩹 🤧

Luckily I was able to finish it on time and yes, @nurycos received the order on time and we had a very nice conversation-reaction. Nury is my ideal type of client, she is polite, gentle and with infinite patience, and I who am so nervous about fulfilling commitments correctly, I appreciate empathetic people like her a universe ; ; u ; ; ❤️‍🩹

I hope this year we can continue to work together, in fact we have several projects in the list and I have faith that soon we will be able to put them together to start them 🚀 💫
