Pero bueno hoy les traigo un storytime de mi última convención de anime porque ✨Otaku hasta que me muera✨

Bueno, estos eventos son inmediatamente posteriores a la incómoda escapada a la playa que hice con mi mamá dejando a Púa un poco enferma con mi esposo.

Cómo les comenté allí, bastó que yo entrara por la puerta para que mi bebé se sintiera respuesta de todos sus males 😅 y gracias a Dios que fue así 🙏🏻

Yo ya había pagado las entradas en preventa para conocer al actor de doblaje responsable de mi trastorno de atracción hacia los hombres tóxicos. Enzo Fortuny, voz de Inuyasha 😍😍😍

To put them in generational context, Inuyasha is for me like Terry from Candy Candy 🤭 and obviously I could not miss the opportunity to have an autograph of this actor who also played the Wesley twins in Harry Potter, to Arnold in ¡Hey Arnold! and to my other toxic love whose name I took for many years as a nickname, Yue from Sakura Card Captor, the guardian of the moon.

Well, that Sunday I woke up very early and started to arrange everything to come as soon as possible. The performance was at 2 o'clock and I expected to be home by 5pm at the latest.

I set out to prepare a power breakfast for my babies so they could make it from 12 until that time.

Para ponerlos en contexto generacional, Inuyasha es para mí como Terry de Candy Candy 🤭 y obvio yo no podía perderme la oportunidad de tener un autógrafo de este actor quien también interpretó a los gemelos Wesley en Harry Potter , a Arnold en ¡Oye Arnold! y a mi otro amor tóxico del cual tomé su nombre durante muchos años como apodo, Yue de Sakura Card Captor, el guardián de la luna.

Pues ese domingo me levanté muy temprano y empecé a arreglar todo para salir y venir lo más pronto posible. La presentación era a las 2 y yo esperaba estar en casa a las 5pm a más tardar.

Me dispuse a prepararle un desayuno potente a mis bebés para que pudieran resistir desde las 12 hasta esa hora.

I got ready with my best outfit and the perfect shirt for the occasion 😎 feeling beautiful and empowered, we went out ✨late as always✨.

Although the subway was a little late, we arrived right on time. The truth is that this time the organization was much slower and we were about 12 minutes in a queue of less than 6 people 🤨 but at least it was enough to take a super cool picture with a cosplayer of Sesshomaru 😍

Me preparé con mi mejor outfit y la camisa perfecta para la ocasión 😎 sintiéndome bien bella y empoderada, salimos ✨tarde cómo siempre✨

Aunque el metro se tardó un poco, llegamos justito a la hora. La verdad es que en esta oportunidad la organización estuvo mucho más lenta y estuvimos unos 12 minutos en una cola de menos de 6 personas 🤨 pero al menos me alcanzó para tomarme una foto super genial con un cosplayer de Sesshomaru 😍

Once inside I ran to the stage to set aside a good spot to enjoy Enzo Fortuny's presentation. If I had known that the autograph signing had started an hour earlier, I would have tried to get there earlier 😓.

The presentation was very good. Enzo has a great handling of the public and knows how to manage the expectations and that moment of tension of what the fans want 🤭.

To end his presentation, he brought up a couple of kids for a karaoke competition for some Dragon Ball figures signed by him 🤩 the kids did very well, but in the end the boy won by performing the first op of DB 🙌🏻

Una vez adentro corrí a la tarima para apartar un buen lugar y poder disfrutar de la presentación de Enzo Fortuny. Si hubiese sabido que la firma de autógrafos había empezado una hora antes, habría tratado de llegar antes 😓

La presentación fue muy buena. Enzo tiene un gran manejo del público y sabe manejar las expectativas y ese momento de tensión de que es lo que quieren los fans 🤭

Para finalizar su presentación, subió a un par de chicos para una competencia de karaoke por unas figuras de Dragon Ball firmadas por él 🤩 los chicos lo hicieron muy bien, pero al final ganó el muchacho interpretando el primer op de DB 🙌🏻

At the end, I should have been smarter and sent Engel to line up for autographs, but I got confident thinking it would be like the previous times where the guests would be all the convention interacting with the attendees. Big Mistake.

We went looking for a poster for the signing and found a beautiful aluminum one for $10 😍 Is it overkill? Yes, do I have the right to splurge money on whatever I want? Also 😂

When I arrived the queue was absolutely insane. Easy it was half a kilometer of queue, but as the good ones we always go with faith, I stayed there quietly.

Al finalizar, debí haber sido más inteligente y mandar a Engel a hacer la fila para los autógrafos, pero me confíe pensando que sería como las veces anteriores en las que los invitados estarían toda la convención interactuando con los asistentes. Grasso Error.

Fuimos a buscar un póster para la firma y encontramos uno bellísimo de aluminio en 10$ 😍 ¿Una exageración? Si, ¿Tengo derecho a derrochar dinero en lo que quiera? También 😂

Cuando llegue la cola era una auténtica locura. Fácil era medio kilómetro de cola, pero como los buenos siempre vamos con fe, me quedé allí tranquila.

It was about 5 minutes later when my husband called me to go to the front of the line. It turns out that good relationships have their rewards....

Last year, at the DBZ dubbing event we made friends with a couple of nice guys who we took turns with to take care of the bags. They were further ahead of us and let us join their group for the signing.

At first we felt sorry for them, but since my aluminum poster came wrapped in some sort of cheaper paper posters, I gave it to them as a thank you.

Pasaron unos 5 minutos cuando mi esposo me llamo para que fuera hasta adelante de la cola. Pues resulta ser que hacer buenas relaciones tienen sus recompensas…

El año pasado, en el evento al que fueron los dobladores de DBZ nosotros hicimos amistad con un para de muchachos bien simpáticos con los que nos turnamos para cuidar los bolsos. Pues ellos estaban bastante más adelante y nos dejaron meternos en su grupo para la firma.

Al principio nos dio pena pero, como mi poster de aluminio venía envuelto en una especie de pósters de papel más baratos, se los di en agradecimiento.

Even though we were already a bueeeeeeeeeen stretch ahead, the line was going very slow, so I decided to go take a look around and managed to get some photos so they could see the atmosphere.

One of the most interesting booths I managed to see was a Japanese language academy. I would love to take it up again but now in person and give myself that personal treat, but for now I have to wait to improve my economic situation 😅

Aunque ya habíamos adelantado un bueeeeeen tramo, la fila iba muy lenta, por lo que decidí ir a echar un vistazo y logré unas fotos para que vieran el ambiente.

Uno de los puestos más interesantes que logré ver fue el de una academia de japonés. Me encantaría retomarlo pero ahora de manera presencial y darme ese gusto personal, pero por ahora debo esperar a mejorar mi situación económica 😅

After an hour we hadn't made much progress and hunger was making itself present... so present that Enzo himself went out for lunch.

It was here when things got a little chimbas Enzo didn't want to be 2 hours more there, so the organization decided to offer them a small autograph to leave the queue because it wasn't going to give a chance for everyone to have form and photo.

Those who decided to stay were warned that they could not have the right to the photo because it was not going to reach the extra 30 minutes. Since I'm more stubborn than a mule, no one was going to get me out of that queue without my signature on my $10 poster 👿

Luego de una hora no habíamos adelantado gran cosa y el hambre se hacía presente… tan presente que el propio Enzo salió a almorzar.

Fue aquí cuando las cosas se pusieron un poco chimbas Enzo no deseaba estar 2 horas más allí, por lo que la organización decidió ofrecerles un autógrafo pequeño para que abandonan la cola porque no iba a dar chance para que todos tuvieran forma y foto.

A los que decidieron quedarse se les advirtió que no podrían tener el derecho a la foto porque no iba a alcanzar los 30 minutos extra. Como yo soy más obstinada que una mula, a mí nadie me iba a sacar de esa cola sin mi firma en mi póster de 10$ 👿

But there was a problem. Engel had paid extra for a video for me along with Enzo, as a Valentine's Day gift. But it wasn't going to happen, so there was nothing left but to trust that the organization would give us our money back.

The 30 minutes passed and finally the autograph signing was resumed. As good stubborn Venezuelans, we got the photo and autograph, not in the desired way but it was achieved 🙌🏻😎

Pero había un problema. Engel había pagado un extra para un vídeo para mí junto con Enzo, como un regalo del día de los enamorados. Pero no se iba a poder realizar, así que no quedaba de otra más que confiar en que la organización nos devolvería el dinero.

Pasaron los 30 minutos y finalmente se reanudó la firma de autógrafos. Cómo buenos venezolanos porfiados, se logró la foto y el autógrafo, no de la forma deseada pero se logró 🙌🏻😎

It was already quite late and I was nervous about my little kids, so we quickly said goodbye to our friends and left for home, but not before posing next to this car that is the dream of every Otaku 😍😍😍

Ya era bastante tarde y estaba nerviosa por mis niñitos, así que rápidamente nos despedimos de nuestros amigos y partimos rumbo a casa, no sin antes posar junto a este carro que es el sueño de todo Otaku 😍😍

When we got home we saw that Pua and Simba were fine. 0 vomit or diarrhea thank God 🙏🏻

And well that was our whole experience at the Anime XP. Maybe the events are too much alike, but for me it's always a pleasure to go and enjoy this geeky atmosphere that reminds me in a good way part of who I am 😊

Y bueno esa fue toda nuestra experiencia en la Anime XP. Quizás los eventos se parecen mucho, pero para mí siempre es un placer ir y disfrutar de este ambiente friki que me recuerda de buena forma parte de quien soy 😊
