¡Hola a Todos! Soy fanática de las transformaciones de ropa vieja o de segunda mano. El día de hoy les mostraré una de mis tantas creaciones.

Hello everybody! I'm a fan of old or second-hand clothing transformations. Today I will show you one of my many creations.

Por azares del destino me encontré con esta camisa de hombre que me llegaba casi hasta las rodillas. Me fascinó la tela, muy suave y bastante fresca. Pero como lucía bastante vieja y me quedaba enorme, era complicado implementarla en mi guardarropa.

…Fue entonces cuando decidí: O se la regalaba a alguno de mis hermanos o la amoldaba a mi cuerpo para poder usarla.

By chance of fate I found this men's shirt that reached almost to my knees. I was fascinated by the fabric, very soft and quite fresh. But since it looked quite old and was huge, it was difficult to implement it in my wardrobe.

… It was then when I decided: Either I would give it to one of my brothers or I would mold it to my body to be able to use it.

Me dejé llevar por la segunda opción no porque necesitara ropa, sino que se trataba de la primera transformación que haría con una prenda y el reto, me parecía interesante.

La verdad, no tenía ni idea de que iba a hacer con esa camisa, así que lo primero que se me ocurrió, fue deshacerme del diseño de la pisada. Pensé que la única manera de salvarlo era haciendo un diseño nuevo encima, así que, al igual que un tatuador arregla un tatuaje mal hecho, procedí a cubrir ese feo dibujo.

I got carried away by the second option not because I needed clothes, but it was the first transformation I would do with a garment and the challenge seemed interesting to me.

Actually, I had no idea what I was going to do with that shirt, so the first thing that occurred to me was to get rid of the footprint design. I thought the only way to save it was by making a new design on top, so just like a tattoo artist fixes a poorly done tattoo, I proceeded to cover up that ugly drawing.

Pensando se me ocurrió dibujar a aquel gato, amoldándolo de forma que cubriera la figura de la huella. El color negro para su pelaje fue perfecto, dado que el diseño de abajo estaba en una tonalidad un tanto grisácea. Usé pintura para telas y para la bola de estambre, hice una bola con estambre real y la cosí a mano, para darle un efecto 3D.

Una vez finalizado el dibujo, lo dejé secar unas cuantas horas y luego, lo planché para sellar la pintura.

Thinking it occurred to me to draw that cat, molding it so that it covered the figure of the footprint. The black color for his coat was perfect, since the design below was in a somewhat grayish hue. I used fabric paint and for the ball of yarn, I made a ball with real yarn and sewn it by hand, to give it a 3D effect.

After the drawing was finished, I let it dry for a few hours and then I ironed it to seal the paint.

Con el nuevo diseño, el cambio era impactante, pero la camisa me seguía quedando extraña, dado que me quedaba enorme, así que el siguiente paso fue reducirla para que me quedara más pegada al cuerpo. Reduje los laterales y para las mangas (que me quedaban muy bajas de hombros), procedí a descoserlas, cortarlas y volverlas a coser, esta vez a mi medida.

Finalmente, le añadí unos detalles con una tela de flores que me gustó mucho. En los bordes del cuello, de las mangas y de la parte inferior del ahora vestido. Con un pequeño cuadrado, cree un bolsillo, pensando en la funcionalidad.

With the new design, the change was impressive, but the shirt was still strange, since it was huge, so the next step was to reduce it so that it was closer to the body. I reduced the sides and for the sleeves (which were very low on my shoulders), I proceeded to unsew them, cut them and sew them again, this time to my measure.

Finally, I added some details with a flower fabric that I really liked. On the edges of the neck, sleeves and the bottom of the now dress. With a small square, create a pocket, with functionality in mind.

Como pudieron observar, muchas veces no hace falta que nos deshagamos de nuestra ropa vieja y corramos a la tienda a comprar algo nuevo, siendo que con algo de ingenio e interés, podemos conseguir con nuestra propia mano, hacer maravillas.
