I will go through the process of making the opening, then we start first after having sewn the skirt by joining both ends then we sew the edge of the skirt below and then make the hem which is what makes up the hem, then we make a fold inwards vertically and we sew up we make a kind of box with a seam then we are going to sew the other piece making another fold as a hem and sew, I do not forget to finish the seam well to avoid inconveniences, then we sew what is the hem of approximately 1 cm, we will join the elastic tip to tip and we will sew a seam to join it.

The last step is to sew the elastic and we are going to take pins to hold the elastic to the skirt, and we will insert it inside our elastic and we are going to sew the edge next to the fabric stretching enough and so we are sewing with overlock or zig zag all the contour of the waist of what is our skirt, after sewing we will fold the elastic inwards approximately 5 cm high because we will leave the fabric on top to make the design of the skirt which is like a bag, then we sew the elastic with a straight seam again stretching it well so that nothing happens to our skirt or the thread breaks when we are trying it on, once I sew the elastic at the top I will do a straight seam again, so the skirt is finished 🥰🧵.
