Greetings to you all out there on this beautiful day and I wish you are doing great, well if you want to know how I'm doing as well, I glad to tell you that I'm absolutely doing fine here. Today I will be sharing with you the cutting and sewing process of this simple and useful homemade craft of a wallet for cards and phone made from left over fabric for my friend. It's a a double space wallet with one of the space with zipper and the other with a flip cover and pressing button fixed with hand needle and thread to secure the item that will be kept inside.

My friend had asked me to make a purse for her for awhile now since the ones she usually get don't really last long and they are expensive, and with this, It will last for awhile and cost less since I'm using pieces from left over fabric and the outcome of the ones she has seen me with were so nice.

Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process below.

I cut out 13 x 8" from the piece of fabric I intend to use with interfacing ironed on it.

I measured and cut out 1.5" from the 13" and it was taken to the sewing machine.

For the pocket lining, I cut out 7 x 8" and a zipper.

The zipper was placed on the main fabric with the pocket lining, it was sewn together and top stitched on the right side.

The 1.5" was sewn on other side of the zipper with the zipper pocket and it was used to cut out the lining.

The lining was placed on the main fabric and sewn on the top, it was flip to the other side and top stitched on.

I measured 4.5" and it was folded upward and the lining was folded on the other side.

It was sewn on both sides leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out.

The excess were trimmed off and it was turned inside out.

It was top stitched on the flip cover and I used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button on the both sides to secure the item in it.

This is the final outcome with cards in the zipper space and phone in the other opening just as my friend wanted it.

This is how it looks when the items are secure in it.
