Desde hace dos semanas he querido realizar una animación donde pudiera tomar a uno de mis OCs haciendo algún movimiento. Entre mis personajes a escoger estaba Francheska y Jessica ya que a mi OC Frankches, le había hecho una animación hace casi ya 3 años, que si gustan verlo lo pueden visualizar en este post: Frankches animado.

Al final escogí a Jessica y había decidido que la animaría bailando una canción de los Backstreet Boys llamada "Larger Than Life", ya que volviendo a escuchar y visualizar el vídeo, me había llamado la atención como bailaban el coro ya finalizando el vídeo musical.

Pero quise indagar en como era la coreografía y en mi búsqueda por Youtube, encontré este short de esta chica replicando a su estilo esa coreografía (ella tuvo un leve cambio en la parte que dice la letra "People" porque ellos se muestran agachándose después de hacer el brinco, mientras que la chica hace otro movimiento pero que no altera como tal el baile) :

Since two weeks ago I wanted to make an animation where I could take one of my OCs doing some movement. Among my characters to choose was Francheska and Jessica since my OC Frankches, I had made an animation almost 3 years ago, if you like to see it you can see it in this post: Frankches animated.

I ended up choosing Jessica and had decided that I would cheer her on by dancing to a Backstreet Boys song called "Larger Than Life ”, since re-listening and re-watching the video, I had been struck by how they were dancing to the chorus by the end of the music video.

But I wanted to find out what the choreography was like and in my search on Youtube, I found this short of this girl replicating the choreography in her own style (she had a slight change in the part that says the lyrics “People” because they are shown bending down after doing the jump, while the girl does another movement but that does not alter the dance as such) Video Youtube Reference

Al ver ese vídeo, mi animación intentaría basarse en los movimientos de ella, ya que así me evitaba hacer el movimiento de agacharse en esa parte que mencioné y porque así sabría en que dirección dibujaría el movimiento de ciertas puntas del cabello.

Había olvidado lo molesto que es tratar de darle una secuencia al dibujo en movimiento, ya que necesito exportar varias imágenes para lograr un segundo de reproducción y otras tantas para tratar de hacerlo ver fluido. Cuando terminé el primer dibujo (que es el que puse para la miniatura) me sentía satisfecho pero fui perdiendo las ganas o la motivación de continuar al ya ir por la tercera imagen porque necesitaba hacer capturas para compartir el GIF de mi proceso creativo. 😅

En total fueron 11 imágenes para exportar para realizar la animación con una duración de casi 5 segundos, en cuanto a las capturas para el proceso creativo, un total de 69. Estuve casi una semana queriendo finalizar todo pero sabía que me llevaría aún más tiempo con la forma en como estaba tratando de animar, por lo que en vez de hacer los 19 segundos del vídeo de la coreografía, terminé por recortar todo ha solo casi 5 segundos.

A Jessica La vestí con ropa deportiva, al ser un baile, me parecía mejor que estuviera vestida con un pantalón más comodo de moverse que con un Jean. Además que el cabello se lo modifiqué un poquito.

When I watched that video, my animation would try to be based on her movements, because that way I would avoid doing the crouching movement in that part I mentioned and because that way I would know in which direction I would draw the movement of certain hair tips.

I had forgotten how annoying it is to try to give a sequence to the moving drawing, since I need to export several images to achieve a second of playback and others to try to make it look fluid. When I finished the first drawing (which is the one I put for the thumbnail) I felt satisfied but, I was losing the desire or motivation to continue when I was already on the third image because I needed to make captures to share the GIF of my creative process. 😅

In total there were 11 images to export to make the animation with a duration of almost 5 seconds, as for the captures for the creative process, a total of 69. I had almost a week wanting to finish everything but I knew it would take me even more time with the way I was trying to animate, so instead of making the 19 seconds of the video of the choreography, I ended up cutting everything to only almost 5 seconds.

I dressed Jessica in sportswear, since it was a dance, I thought it was better for her to be dressed in a pair of pants that were more comfortable to move around in than a Jean. I also modified her hair a little bit.
