Let's wrap a gift #TUTO / Envolvamos un regalo (ESP-ENG)

¡Hola hivers!💜

Espero que se encuentren bien y felices. Hace poco cumplio años la mamá de mi novio, lo ayudé escogiendo el regalo, luego de mucho buscar dimos con un set de 4 mini perfumes. Cada uno diferente y con un tamaño pequeño perfecto para llevarlos en la cartera. Me lleve el regalo a casa para envolverlo y que fuera una sorpresa. Les cuento un poco del proceso:

MATERIALES

Papel kraft
Cinta adhesiva
Tijera
Lápiz
Goma
Regla
Marcadores de pintura acrílica

PASO A PASO

PASO 1

Primero me di la caja y con ayuda de la regla tracé un rectángulo con las medidas y lo recorte. Para empezar a envolver use la cinta adhesiva. Coloque un primer pedazo para fijar el papel y poder envolver la parte trasera y delantera. Algunas veces le he hecho algunos dobleces y queda bonito, pero en esta ocasión necesitaba que quedara liso para poder decorarlo.

PASO 2

Para envolver los laterales tuve que cortar un poco el largo, y empezar a plegar cuidando que al colocar la cinta adhesiva para hacer el cierre, esta quedará para la parte trasera. No soy la mejor envolviendo pero al menos me defiendo.

PASO 3

Con ayuda de un lápiz hice el boceto con lettering para la parte delantera del regalo. Este decía: “Feliz cumpleaños a la mejor mamá”. Usé más que todo estilos cursivos para que se viera más delicado.

PASO 4

Use los marcadores de pintura acrílica para darle vida a la composición. Estos son perfectos para cubrir cualquier superficie así sea una superficie oscura y tienen la capacidad de que el color siempre se verá igual. Escogi colores citricos para dibujar: amarillo, naranja, rojo y rosado y un toque de morado.

PASO 5

Una vez que dibuje las bases. Le hice algunos detalles con marcador negro como sombras y delineados. También dibuje algunas flores sencillas para completar la composición y darle armonía.

PASO 6

¡Regalo listo!

Aunque no soy fan de envolver regalos (soy team hacer bolsas), me gusto mucho el resultado final y a su mama le encanto el envoltorio y por supuesto el contenido: los mini perfumes. Estábamos ansiosos de que lo abriera para así poder olerlos todos y de verdad fue una buena decisión ya que olían genial.

Hi hivers! 💜

I hope you are well and happy. Recently my boyfriend's mom had her birthday, I helped him choosing the gift, after a lot of searching we found a set of 4 mini perfumes. Each one different and with a small size perfect to carry in your purse. I took the gift home to wrap it and make it a surprise. Let me tell you a little bit about the process:

MATERIALS

Kraft paper
Adhesive tape
Scissors
Pencil
Rubber
Ruler
Acrylic paint markers

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1

First I gave myself the box and with the help of the ruler I traced a rectangle with the measurements and cut it out. To start wrapping I used the adhesive tape. I put a first piece to fix the paper and to be able to wrap the back and the front. Sometimes I have made some folds and it looks nice, but this time I needed it to be smooth so I could decorate it.

STEP 2

To wrap the sides I had to cut a little the length, and start folding taking care that when I put the tape to make the closure, it will be for the back. I'm not the best at wrapping but at least I'm good at it.

STEP 3

With the help of a pencil I made the sketch with lettering for the front of the gift. This one said: “Happy Birthday to the best mom”. I used mostly cursive styles to make it look more delicate.

STEP 4

Use acrylic paint markers to bring the composition to life. These are perfect for covering any surface even if it is a dark surface and have the ability to make the color always look the same. I chose citrus colors to draw: yellow, orange, red and pink and a touch of purple.

STEP 5

Once I drew the bases. I did some details with black marker like shadows and outlines. I also drew some simple flowers to complete the composition and give it harmony.

STEP 6

Gift ready!

Although I'm not a fan of wrapping gifts (I'm a bag maker), I really liked the final result and his mom loved the wrapping and of course the content: the mini perfumes. We were anxious for her to open it so we could smell them all and it was a really good decision because they smelled great.
