El dia de hoy me encantaría compartir otro de mis proyectos de reciclado de ropa, una bonita y económica forma de renovar, aprovechar y reutilizar ropa que ya no usábamos. Espero y sea de mucha ayuda para aquellos que aman el arte de la costura.

ThisThis sewing project is always one of my favorites, as I get the most out of any garment, giving it new life and a better use. In this case, I was hesitant, as the material I selected was a real pain, and my machines were reluctant to work with that fabric. But after doing some research on social media from sewing enthusiasts like myself, I learned several tricks, including one for working with that type of fabric. If you want to know the best trick for working with latex fabrics, don't miss a single detail; stay until the end.
Este proyecto de costura, es siempre uno de mis favoritos, pues aprovecho al máximo cualquier prenda de vestir dandole nueva vida y un mejor uso. En este caso, estaba dudosa, pues el material seleccionado era realmente un dolor de cabeza, y mis maquinas, estaban renuentes a trabajar ese tejido. Pero al indagar un poco en las redes sociales de grandes apasionados de la costura como yo, conoci varios trucos, dentro de los que habia uno para trabajar con ese tipo de tejido. Si quieres saber cual es el mejor truco para trabajar con tejidos de látex, no puedes perderte ni un solo detalle, quédate hasta el final.

Start by making a straight cut at the bottom of the pants to make a skirt with them, and use the leftover fabric from a short, spaghetti-strap blouse. To determine the skirt length, take a swatch by adding four fingers. For the blouse, take each piece from a swatch.

Comence realizando un corte recto en la parte de abajo del pantalon, para hacer una falda con este, y con lo que sobra una blusa corta de tirantes finos. Para sacar el largo de la falda tome una muestra añadiendole 4 dedos. En el caso de la blusa, saque cada pieza de una muestra.

Once each piece was cut, I proceeded to make the skirt. I must say that everything was perfect on the inside, which was wonderful. I closed the hemline at the front and back.
"Rice with mango," an expression used in my country, was when it came to hemming it, neither front nor back. But you know how I was able to make it, because I can tell you that with a little soap on the area where I was going to work, I was able to complete my task. It was a bit cumbersome, because sometimes it would stick and the fabric wouldn't flow much.

Una vez cortada cada pieza, procedo a elaborar la falda. Debo decir que por la parte de adentro todo iba a la perfección, cosia que era una maravilla. Cerrando el area de los tiros en mi delantero y trasero. "El arroz con mango", expresion empleada en mi pais, fue a la hora de hacer los bajos, alli ni atras ni alante. Pero saben como pude elaborarla, pues os cuento que con un poquito de jabón en el area que se va a trabajar, pude completar mi tarea. Era algo engorroso, pues a veces se quedaba pegado y no corria mucho la tela.

Once my skirt is finished, I move on to making the blouse. I start by sewing each pair of pieces together: the two front pieces and the two back pieces. Then I add a lining inside for the straps.

Una vez terminada mi falda, pase a realizar la blusa. Comienzo pasando costura a cada par de piezas. Las dos del delantero y las dos del trasero. Luego le coloco un forrito por dentro para la parte de los tirantes.

Finally, make the bottom of the blouse and the four-way pocket. Then, fold the pocket fabric in half and sew it, leaving the top open.

Por último realice el bajo de la blusa y con bolsillo estilo 4 puertas. Luego doble por la mitad la tela del bolsillo y pase costura, dejando la parte de arriba abierta.
