Hello friends of the Hive Diy community, I want to say hello and share with you a character I created with an apple head. Some time ago my mom was given a basket with flowers and plastic fruits, this ornament is no longer there, however I had saved an apple to create a character, because its shape was nice and surely you could make something nice. Today I got down to work and created this doll with a wire body, a graceful suit and an apple head.
How did I go from an apple to a doll? The creation or elaboration of any craft requires work, imagination and dedication. This figure was created by hand and now I will share with you the step by step of my new, original and authentic work.
The first thing is to look for the materials, I already had the apple that remained on my night table. I took 40 cm of wire and shaped it with the help of a tweezers. I always left a third leg at the back so I could keep it standing. Then I covered the wire with strips of fabric, as if it were the skin, and I attached it with glue.

For the clothes I used pieces of old clothes, sometimes I save old clothes because the fabrics are beautiful and can be used for a new creation and this was the case. For the shirt I used a plaid fabric and made a blue buttons, plus orange cloth endings to give joy to the outfit. In this friend, I didn't use long pants but short ones, because apples give that fresh feeling and I wanted the doll to look like that.
Once his clothes were ready, I painted his face and once dry I put some nail varnish on it so that the color would not fade and could be maintained over time.

The doll was as I had imagined it, as a good-natured look, with a fresh, summery outfit, ideal for the sun and very pretty. His apple-shaped head gives him a tender appearance and reminds us of the importance of fruits in our lives, for the fiber, water and vitamins they provide. While I was looking at my doll, I was thinking that he needed something and then I found what he needed, a sheep!
And a sheep, one of those we put in the nativity scenes or Christmas nativity scenes, is a nice touch that invites us to respect animals. Now you tell me: Isn't he a very tender friend?

This apple is now part of my figures and for that reason we will see it in my tales and stories and it will surely bring smiles and teachings.
Muchas 🙂 gracias
