Hola comunidad de artesanos y manualistas hoy les comparto un pequeño proyecto que hice, para decorar un quesillo para el cumple de mi mamá, era algo rápido y sencillo, para el otro día y no había tenido mucho tiempo para hacer algo más elaborado, y así que me puse manos a la obra con este diseño de un Topper más simple pero usé unas laminas de acetato para darle un giro divertido, aquí les dejo las imágenes y el paso a paso.

Hello community of artisans and crafters, today I'm sharing a little project I did to decorate a quesillo for my mom's birthday. It was something quick and easy, for the other day and I hadn't had much time to do anything more elaborate, so I got to work with this design for a simpler Topper, but I used some acetate sheets to give it a fun twist. Here are the images and the step-by-step instructions.

#1 El primer paso es hacer las letras 🔡 para la palabra feliz cumpleaños , las hice a mano alzada tratando de darles un toque divertidas , la marqué con marcador negro punta fina, luego corté las letras , las pegué a una cartulina dorada con silicón.

#2 Para darle un pequeño borde nada más , procure cortar ✂️ un borde muy fino de cartulina dorada de esta forma le dará un toque muy delicado a las letras, luego puse las letras con el borde dorado encima en de un fondo de foami escarchado, aquí y lo recorté dejando un poco más de distancia con el borde anterior, y busque dos palitos de altura, y corté unos 5cm de cada uno para hacerlos un poco más cortos.

#2 To give it just a small edge, try to cut ✂️ a very thin edge of gold cardstock this way it will give a very delicate touch to the letters, then I put the letters with the gold edge on top of a frosted foam background, here and I cut it leaving a little more distance with the previous edge, and I looked for two sticks of height, and I cut about 5cm of each one to make them a little shorter.

#3 Pegué por la parte de atrás del topper los dos palitos de altura, y corté una tirita larga de Foami rosado escarchado, para decorar los dos palitos. Para hacer la corona flotante , marqué el dibujo de una corona en foami dorado escarchado, y luego de recortarla la puse encima de un retazo de cartulina dorada y recorté la forma de la corona creandole un lindo bordecito.

#3 I glued the two tall sticks to the back of the topper, and cut a long strip of frosted pink foam to decorate the two sticks. To make the floating crown, I traced a crown design onto frosted gold foam. After cutting it out, I placed it on top of a piece of gold cardstock and cut out the crown shape, creating a cute little border.

#4 Usé el empaque de una lapicera, estos empaques de acetato, y corté unas tiras largas,las doble a la mitad para darle más soporte. Corté unos corazones de varios tamaños en foami ,rosado y fucsia para hacer corazoncitos dobles y darle más detalles al Topper. Pegué un corazón doble al centro de la corona,y está la pegué a uno de las tiras de acetato, al igual que los corazones dobles los pegué en las otras dos tiras de acetato.

#4 I used a pencil case wrapper, these acetate wrappers, and cut some long strips, folding them in half for extra support. I cut hearts of various sizes from foam, pink and fuchsia, to make double hearts and give the topper more details.I glued a double heart to the center of the crown, and I glued it to one of the acetate strips, just like the double hearts I glued them on the other two acetate strips.

#5 Después de pegar las tiras de acetato por la parte de atrás del topper, quedara de forma que se vea como si las flores figuras estuvieran flotando, alrededor del Topper. Para darle un poco más de detalles a las letras , con un palito de dientes, hice pequeños puntitos de pintura dorada, en las letras, y cetro de corazones dorado en los corazones flotantes. Y como ven 🫴🏼 este sería el resultado, es un Topper más sencillo de los que suelo hacer ,pero igualmente los detalles flotantes se ven muy bonitos y originales, y con el quesillo y la decoración todo se veía precioso y muy bonito, a mi mamá le encantó , y sirvió para decorar la mesa de cumpleaños.

#5 After gluing the acetate strips to the back of the topper, it will look like the flower figures are floating around the topper. To give a little more detail to the letters, with a toothpick, I made small dots of gold paint on the letters, and a golden heart scepter on the floating hearts. And as you can see 🫴🏼 this would be the result, it is a simpler topper than I usually make, but the floating details still look very pretty and original, and with the quesillo and the decoration everything looked beautiful and very pretty, my mom loved it, and it served to decorate the birthday table.
