Summer is the time when we can enjoy our eyes with flowers called water lily, or nenuphar.
It is an aquatic plant, so if there is a pond, a water reservoir or a pond nearby, we can encounter this beautiful flower.
It is an ornamental plant that we can successfully grow in our garden. We do not need to have a large pond right away. It can be a tiny pond or even a barrel. The plant will adapt to the conditions if we take proper care of it.
Water lily is a common term for white combs called water lily. It comes in many color variations. The one in the picture is called the "Snow Queen" and is probably the most popular variety of this water flower.
In the wild, we can meet the water lily throughout Europe, in North Africa and the Middle East.
This flower is characterized by a very unique, characteristic and expressive aroma. The intensity of the fragrance is so great that sometimes one fully developed flower is enough to spread the fragrance over a large area.
Therefore, the aroma is used quite widely in cosmetics. It is included in the perfume collection of brands such as "Chanel" or "Davidoff".
The compounds contained in the water lily also have relaxing properties, which is why all kinds of face creams are made from them, strengthening and firming the skin. It is also used as an additive to shampoos, shower gels and soaps.
The water lily also has healing properties, but it is a poisonous plant and improper use can be harmful. It is used as a sedative, sleep aid, and to support the work of the heart.
