Dragonfly are one of the easiest insects to find, especially in environments filled with green plants. Like the dusk dasher dragonfly that I found. I found the dragonfly hanging quietly on a cassava leaf stalk. At that time, the morning dew was still shyly sticking to the leaves, even on the leaf stalk where the dragonfly perched there were still a few drops of dew.
This dragonfly is a dragonfly that has a medium body size with a slender shape. Its color is also very beautiful, namely brownish yellow. The perfect color for camouflage among twigs and dry leaves. I am sure that if it were among twigs and dry leaves, predators would have a hard time finding it. Its color is very similar to both of these things. Luckily when I met it, it was among fresh plants, making it a little easier for me to find it.
In addition, dragonflies are also one of the insects that have unique eyes. It has compound eyes that are ready to monitor in all directions and also has super sharp vision. In Latin, the dragonfly that I met is known as tholymis tillarga. Namely one of the dragonflies that comes from the libellulidae family.

Wow! What can I say about these photos? They are simply sublime! 😍 They reflect the beauty of nature. This dragonfly is truly beautiful, the color is surprising and its eyes are mesmerizing. I really like the detail of its wings. On the land where our Tiny House is located, there is a pond and lots of different dragonflies: big zebra ones, small blue or red ones... I love watching them fly in all directions. 😁
