This morning the air felt very cold, maybe it was the effect of heavy rain and strong winds last night. I was a little lazy to go out of the house, it was very cold and I wanted to lie down all the time. But my logic refused to lie down, it wanted to do activities as usual, breathing fresh air in the morning. At that time the sun was starting to shine, the right time to hunt for beautiful insects.
When the sun starts to shine, the insects also start to come out of hiding and look for a place to sunbathe. They sunbathe in the morning to increase their body temperature, especially since they were bathed in the rain last night. I, who didn't bathe in the rain, felt very cold, let alone them.
I continued to walk along the rocky path while glancing left and right looking for beautiful insects. Almost desperate, having walked far but not finding any of them. Keep walking, until finally arriving at a small bush with very fresh leaves. There I found a group of small caterpillars partying. I immediately approached where they were.
The caterpillars were very beautiful, brownish orange in color and their entire bodies were protected by sharp thorns. When I zoomed in, the thorns looked scary. The thorns were branched, similar to a tree that had lost all its leaves. But don't worry, the thorns are not weapons to attack us, the thorns are protection for themselves.
I saw them continue to chew the leaves non-stop, some of the leaves already had many holes. In my opinion, the leaves that entered their stomachs were provisions for their long journey. They will go to a quiet, narrow and dark place. That place is known as a cocoon. I am sure that being in that room was like waiting for an unfinished poem. Nervous waiting for the end of the verse and can only be expressed by time.
The caterpillar that I found is the larva of a brownish yellow butterfly or in Latin known as Acraea terpsicore and comes from the Nymphalidae family.

Those thorns surely looks sharp and scary. That's quite some protection ammunition they have.
Yes, it's true, it's a bit scary because the thorns are sharp and branched.
The caterpillar looks very scary because it has very sharp looking spines, but you took some really beautiful and graceful looking pictures and I really like it, and I hope you have a great day.
Glad to know you like it. Thanks for coming. Have a nice day too.
Thorns of them look pretty scary! If they touch our body, it itches, right?
In our places, when we saw such caterpillars, we crush them!

Yes, that's right. Itchy and painful.
I won't destroy it because it will come in a new version. and I can enjoy it again.
