I did some thumbnailing on monster design to practice concept art. Below are just scribbles for suggesting a monster for the game.

Element: Dark/Psychic/Ghost
Background:
A haunted painting that never features the same image twice. Each image the painting shows is a different depiction of something morbid. Owners will see subtle to marked morphologic changes from the imagery it features and even involving the portraits frames.
Additional Background Flavor Text:
A mimic variant that puts on a disguise of a benign painting that gradually changes its content into morbid imagery gradually. It may foreshadow images of death of the owners of the household.

An Okult is believed to be born from malevolent spirit that chose to reside in a painting. Others have speculated a soul of a depressed deceased painter inhabits the portrait.

Okult is often known to induce hallucinations and illusions to unsuspecting subjects.

Some creatures I've been scribbling about. I only chose one to take a step further. I may be doing more versions of the creatures but who knows when my creative spark visits again. The thumbnails just give me an idea on what morphology will be like. You can already guess which among them was Okult's primordial form.
Something worth noting is the art style of the game. Yeah, I tried doing the piece with how the current coloring style goes but it's beyond my level and colors aren't even my thing. I think I skipped learning the basics and went passed to focusing on details and style which is sad.
My colored Okult version, I can feel it asking to be delete itself.
I'll just play with my strengths on doing monochromes and sketchy like figures until I get a grip on polishing.

Thumbnailing looks like a useful skill to have and also one that I faked to get through art class (the other related one was design studies).
I still don't do it to this day and probably should but I rarely do anything I should be doing

I'm faking it till I make it just to manage my self doubt of creativity. Feels like I'm relearning the basic things again after a long time of not doing artsy stuff.
