Hello everyone and welcome to my art blog! I’m lorentm, a passionate digital artist who enjoys creating colorful, dynamic illustrations that mix emotion, fantasy, and style. Every piece I make is a little journey — and today I’m incredibly excited to share one that truly let my imagination run wild. As part of my continued admiration for the @holozing universe, I created a special fan art of one of its beloved characters: Glimmo.
This time, I decided to give Glimmo a whole new vibe by transforming him into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in anime style — yes, you read that right! The idea came to me almost instantly when thinking about his personality: full of energy, rebellious, with that spark of bravery that’s impossible to ignore. It reminded me so much of the Turtles I grew up watching, and I knew I had to bring that crossover to life.
Drawing Glimmo in this version was pure joy. I imagined him charging forward in an underground alley, katana in hand, ready to defend his team. The moment I started sketching, it all flowed naturally. There was something incredibly satisfying about merging the essence of Glimmo with the intense, heroic world of the TMNT. I hope this reinterpretation brings as much joy to you as it did to me during its creation.
¡Hola a todas y todos, bienvenidos a mi blog de arte! Soy lorentm, una artista digital apasionada por crear ilustraciones coloridas y dinámicas que mezclan emoción, fantasía y estilo. Cada obra que realizo es una pequeña aventura — y hoy estoy especialmente emocionada de compartir una que me permitió dejar volar por completo la imaginación. Como parte de mi continua admiración por el universo de @holozing, realicé un fan art especial de uno de sus personajes más queridos: Glimmo.
En esta ocasión, decidí darle a Glimmo una vibra completamente distinta transformándolo en una Tortuga Ninja Adolescente Mutante al estilo anime — ¡sí, así como lo leen! La idea surgió de inmediato al pensar en su personalidad: enérgico, rebelde, con esa chispa de valentía imposible de ignorar. Me recordó muchísimo a las Tortugas que veía de niña, y supe que tenía que dar vida a ese crossover.
Dibujar a Glimmo en esta versión fue una experiencia completamente divertida. Me lo imaginé avanzando decidido en un callejón subterráneo, katana en mano, listo para defender a su equipo. Desde el primer boceto, todo fluyó con naturalidad. Hay algo realmente satisfactorio en fusionar la esencia de Glimmo con el mundo intenso y heroico de las TMNT. Espero que esta reinterpretación les cause tanta alegría como me dio a mí durante su creación.
In this artwork, Glimmo is transformed into a heroic mutant turtle, wearing a bright orange mask tied fiercely around his head, adding to his bold character. His determined eyes glow with intensity, and his mouth is slightly open, as if letting out a battle cry. His skin is textured with vibrant orange spots, reminiscent of a unique reptilian pattern that makes him stand out.
He holds a sharp katana with both hands, ready to strike. His outfit is inspired by the traditional ninja turtle gear: a green battle shell, brown arm and knee pads, and a waist belt in a matching orange tone. The wood-textured floor and graffiti background add that street-style edge, reinforcing the classic TMNT vibe.
En esta obra, Glimmo se transforma en una tortuga mutante heroica, con una brillante máscara naranja atada con fuerza a su cabeza, resaltando su carácter audaz. Sus ojos decididos brillan con intensidad y su boca está entreabierta, como si estuviera lanzando un grito de batalla. Su piel está decorada con manchas naranjas vibrantes, evocando un patrón reptiliano único que lo hace destacar.
Sujeta una katana afilada con ambas manos, listo para atacar. Su atuendo está inspirado en el equipo tradicional de las Tortugas Ninja: un caparazón de batalla verde, protectores marrones en brazos y rodillas, y un cinturón a juego en tono naranja. El suelo de textura de madera y el fondo con grafiti refuerzan ese estilo callejero clásico del universo TMNT.
Process / Proceso
The creative journey began with a rough sketch, where I defined Glimmo’s pose, expression, and the overall composition. I wanted him to look powerful and in motion, so I chose a low battle-ready stance, with one fist clenched and the sword slicing through the air.
Once I had the sketch ready, I moved on to the linework. Using clean and fluid strokes, I outlined each part of the character with care, giving attention to the fingers, the facial expression, and the folds in the fabric to enhance the movement and energy of the piece.
After inking, I began coloring. This is always one of my favorite stages — filling in the character with vibrant tones. I chose warm oranges, muted greens, and rich browns to create harmony while keeping the palette exciting and bold, just like Glimmo.
The shading step was essential to give depth and volume. I placed shadows strategically, especially under the arms, near the neck, and on the shell to emphasize the lighting and the form of the character in space.
To make Glimmo stand out even more, I added highlights — small touches of bright light on the edges of his mask, sword, and limbs to simulate reflection and action, giving the image a more dynamic and polished look.
Finally, I worked on the background. I wanted something that felt urban and gritty, so I created a wood-paneled wall with graffiti that says “HOLOZING,” slightly blurred to simulate movement and depth, tying everything together in the TMNT universe with a splash of my personal style.
El proceso creativo comenzó con un boceto inicial, donde definí la pose, la expresión y la composición general de Glimmo. Quise que se viera poderoso y en movimiento, así que elegí una postura baja y lista para la batalla, con un puño cerrado y la espada cortando el aire.
Con el boceto listo, pasé al delineado. Usé trazos limpios y fluidos para definir cada parte del personaje con cuidado, prestando atención especial a los dedos, la expresión facial y los pliegues de la tela, para realzar el movimiento y la energía de la pieza.
Después de entintar, comencé a colorear. Esta siempre es una de mis etapas favoritas — llenar al personaje con tonos vibrantes. Elegí naranjas cálidos, verdes apagados y marrones intensos para crear armonía, manteniendo la paleta llamativa y audaz, como Glimmo.
La etapa de sombras fue esencial para dar profundidad y volumen. Coloqué las sombras estratégicamente, especialmente bajo los brazos, cerca del cuello y en el caparazón, para resaltar la iluminación y la forma del personaje en el espacio.
Para hacer que Glimmo resalte aún más, agregué brillos — pequeños toques de luz brillante en los bordes de su máscara, espada y extremidades, simulando reflejos y acción, dándole al dibujo un aspecto más dinámico y pulido.
Finalmente, trabajé en el fondo. Quería algo que se sintiera urbano y rudo, así que creé una pared con paneles de madera y grafiti que dice “HOLOZING”, ligeramente desenfocado para simular movimiento y profundidad, uniendo todo en el universo TMNT con un toque de mi estilo personal.

Working on this fan art of Glimmo was an absolute joy. Blending the world of @holozing with the nostalgic energy of the Ninja Turtles gave me a lot of creative freedom, and I loved exploring this crossover idea in my own anime style.

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:

- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
