Hello, Holozing community, today I want to share with you my latest fanart, this time dedicated to Glacion but in female version. I haven't been drawing for a while, I didn't have much inspiration, but the long power outages kind of forced me to do it, because I had to keep my mind busy to keep it away from anxiety.
This time I wanted to represent the female gender of the ice dragon, so I used blue colors, but with several violet tones, very cold colors. In addition to its scales and crystal spikes, I added some big wings to make it look more imposing. I hope you like it. Below, I show you the step by step of the creative process.
Hola, comunidad de Holozing, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi último fanart, esta vez dedicado a Glacion pero en versión femenina. Hace un tiempo no dibujaba, no tenía mucha inspiración, pero los apagones eléctricos tan prolongados como que me obligaron un poco a hacerlo, pues tenía que mantener mi mente ocupada para alejarla de la ansiedad.
En esta ocasión quise representar el género femenino del dragón de hielo, por lo que utilicé colores azules, pero con varios tonos violetas, colores muy fríos. Además de sus escamas y pinchos de cristal, le agregué unas grandes alas para que se viera más imponente. Espero que les guste. A continuación, te muestro el paso a paso del proceso creativo.

I started by making the very simple strokes of the body as such, its long tail and big open wings. Then I went on detailing each part and adding sharp crystal scales all over its body.
Comencé haciendo los trazos muy simples del cuerpo como tal, su cola larga y unas grandes alas abiertas. Luego fui detallando cada parte y agregando filosas escamas de cristal por todo su cuerpo.

When I finished the lineart I started to apply the base colors. For this I used the paint bucket tool to fill in the larger spaces and the feather brush G for the smaller spaces, because sometimes there are unpainted corners that need to be corrected. I used a palette of cold colors varying violet and blue tones.
Cuando terminé el lineart comencé a dar los colores bases. Para ello utilicé la herramienta cubo de pintura para rellenar los espacios más grandes y el pincel pluma G para los espacios más pequeños, pues a veces quedan esquinas sin pintar que hay que ir corrigiendo. Utilicé una paleta de colores fríos variando tonos violetas y azules.

Then, adding new layers, I made the shadows and highlights of each part of the body using different brushes and the soft airbrush to blur the colors of the skin and achieve that gradient effect. The most difficult thing in this step was to achieve the appearance of the crystals, because you have to go down and up the intensity of the colors to achieve a good result. This time I made the eyes too easy and they came out the first time, I only used the airbrush lowering the pixels to mix the colors.
Luego, agregando nuevas capas, fui haciendo las sombras y las iluminaciones de cada parte del cuerpo utilizando diferentes pinceles y el aerógrafo suave para difuminar los colores de la piel y lograr ese efecto degradado. Lo más difícil en este paso fue lograr la apariencia de los cristales, pues hay que ir bajando y subiendo la intensidad de los colores para lograr un buen resultado. Esta vez los ojos los hice demasiado fáciles y me salieron a la primera, solo utilicé el aerógrafo bajándole los píxeles para mezclar los colores.
For the background I made a new layer. With the select tool, I pointed to the background and using the gradient tool with the colors white and light blue, I made a vertical gradient.
Para el fondo hice una nueva capa. Con la herramienta de seleccionar, señalé el fondo y utilizando la herramienta de degradado con los colores blanco y azul claro, hice un degradado vertical.

Finally, after exporting the images, I tried the filters in the gallery and selected the automatic one, highlighting more the colors of the final image.
