Beach Day with Zingu and Waller

Greetings friends of the Holozing community!
Today I'm back with a new illustration of the characters of this game and what better for this heat wave than to visit the beach and bathe with the sea waters, so this time I drew the Ocean Healer along with the creatures of her element, I invite you to join me to show you a little of the illustration process.

El día de hoy he vuelto con una nueva ilustración de los personajes de este juego y que mejor para esta ola de calor que visitar la playa y bañarse con las aguas del mar, por eso en esta ocasión dibuje a la Sanadora del Océano junto con las criaturas de su elemento, le invito a que me acompañen para mostrarles un poco del proceso de ilustración.

Actually at first I was very indecisive about what to draw, I tried to draw the three girls together, but I didn't get a pose that I like at all so I have torn apart everything I have done so far, so I located a nice base of a girl on a float on Pinterest and I thought it would be perfect for the Ocean Healer, so I drew her, I thought at first I would just draw Waller swimming underneath, but I also decided to include the adorable Zingu floating next to her.
For the base color I used the same tones I had used in the first illustration I did of this character.

La verdad al principio estaba muy indecisa sobre que dibujar, he intentado dibujar a las tres chicas juntas, pero no he conseguido una pose que me gusta del todo así que he desgarrado todo lo hecho hasta ahora, así que ubiqué una bonita base de una chica en un flotador en Pinterest y pensé que seria perfecto para la sanadora del Océano, así que la dibuje, pensé en principio solo dibujar a Waller nadando debajo, pero también decidí incluir al adorable Zingu flotando a su lado.
Para la base de color use los mismos tonos que había usado en la primera ilustración que hice de este personaje.

As her skin is very light the first thing I thought of was to blush her cheeks, because after falling asleep for a while rocked by the waves the sun has left its marks, her dear friends noticing this came to her aid and gently moving the water are leading her back to shore.

Como su piel es muy clara lo primero que se me ocurrió fue sonrojarle las mejillas, porque después de dormirse un rato mecida por las olas el sol ha dejado sus marcas, sus queridos amigos al darse cuenta acudieron en su ayuda y moviendo suavemente el agua la están llevando de vuelta a la orilla.

After painting her skin I proceeded to paint her swimsuit, I wanted something holographic, but I decided that this effect would look much better on the float, so instead I used an all purple for this piece.
Next I painted the float for which I chose several pastel tones that I mixed together and to make the shiny effect I used a white color and colored the areas where I thought the light would reflect and then using an airbrush I accentuated the shiny effect.

Luego de pintar su piel procedí a pintar su traje de baño, quería algo holografico, pero decidí que este efecto lo llevaría mucho mejor el flotador, así que en su lugar use un todo morado para esta pieza.
A continuación pinte el flotador para el cual elegí varios tonos pasteles que mezclé juntos y para hacer el efecto brillante use un color blanco y coloree las zonas donde pensé se vería reflejada la luz y luego usando un pincel aerógrafo acentúe el efecto brillante.

Then it was time to make the water effect, for this I saw some references, especially on how to color it digitally and that was the technique I ended up using, first had to draw the ripples on the surface of the water, with a white color and then with an eraser with the opacity at 30% I began to blur the edges to leave just a few translucent lines, then I duplicated this first layer and colored it in a dark blue tone and applied multiply and moved it a little to one side to achieve the effect that the light is making shadows inside the water, finally I just applied a much lighter color with an airbrush to make it look shiny.

Luego fue turno de hacer el efecto de agua, para ello vi algunas referencias, sobre todo sobre como colorearlo digitalmente y que fue la técnica que termine usando, primero debían dibujar las ondulaciones de la superficie del agua, con un color blanco y luego con un borrador con la opacidad en en 30% comencé a difuminar los bordes hasta dejar apenas unas líneas translúcidas, luego duplique esta primera capa y la coloree de un tono azul oscuro y apliqué multiplicar y los la moví un poco hacia un lado para lograr el efecto que la luz esta haciendo sombras dentro del agua, por último solo aplique un color mucho más claro con un aerógrafo para hacerla lucir brillante.

And last but not least I colored his two companions, Waller as he is submerged try to blur the edges of his figure and make some ripples product of water that is between the surface and the depth that is Waller, for Zingu, it was a little simpler only a part of his body is submerged and being almost on the surface I did not modify almost nothing its shape.

Y por último, pero no menos importante coloree a sus dos compañeros, Waller como esta sumergido procure difuminar los bordes de su figura y hacer algunas ondulaciones producto de agua que está entre la superficie y la profundidad que se encuentra Waller, para Zingu, fue un poco más sencillo solo una parte de su cuerpo esta sumergido y por estar casi en la superficie no modifique casi nada su forma.

And this is how the dear and somewhat clueless Ocean Healer has been on her day at the beach with Waller and Zingu, I really liked how this illustration turned out and I also enjoyed the process a lot, I think the three of them look very adorable together, I can imagine them having many days at the beach.

Y asi ha quedado la querida y algo despistada sanadora del Océano en su día de playa junto a Waller y Zingu, a mi me gusto mucho como quedo esta ilustración y también disfrute mucho el proceso, creo que los tres se ven muy adorables juntos, puedo imaginarlos teniendo muchos días de playa.
