Volcaneers Launch
Paima Studios is launching their Volcanners NFT tomorrow on the 30 Nov. 2022. The cost will be 10 milkADA.
Milkomeda
milkADA is Cardano ADA on the Milkomeda C1 sidechain. Milkomeda is a protocol that brings EVM capabilities to non-EVM blockchains. The sidechain Milkomeda A1 for Algorand is also up and running. They also have plans for Solana in the future.
Philosophy
Paima Studios approaches the gaming model from a different perspective. Currently, almost all game developers employ the scarcity model where NFTs' prices are kept high to generate interest and speculation. They also rely on income from the secondary market as part of their income generation strategy.
Paima comes at it from a completely different angle. They argue that "the scarcity-based mindset may work short term, but it is not enough to sustain a project for the long term." When the trend fades, so does public interest in the product.
Value from use
There will be an unlimted supply of Volacneeers. No one has to rush to buy up hundreds of them and hope to flip them for a profit. On top of that, the price is also kept low so there is no barrier to entry. They believe the value of Volcaneers come from their usage. Gone are the days when you buy an NFT and it stayed in the wallet untouched until it went up in price. Paima believes that NFTs should be used on a daily basis in decentralised blockchain gaming.
To this end, Paima will be launching their first game Jungle Wars: NFT Rumble next week (second week of December). It's a fun and easy to learn game and each game only last five minutes.
