La vida del estudiante es la mejor [Iniciativa] - Student life is the best [Initiative].

Recientemente estaba por escribir un post con esta noticia y compartirlo con esta comunidad de Holos y Lotus; en oportunidades anteriores he mencionado que su logo transmite una buena energía, una sensación de paz. Vi la iniciativa de la comunidad y me parecio excelente compartirlo como tema de la iniciativa de @charjaim

Cada quien tiene su propia historia, vivencias que contar para el resto de su vida; todos dicen esa frase “esa es la mejor vida, la del estudiante”; es una vida bonita donde se aprende acerca de la vida, se sufre con los exámenes, evaluaciones constantes, la toma de decisiones en momentos precisos, para algunos es dura; nos reimos con los amigos, compartimos, entre otras cosas, pero si me preguntas, ¿Cual ha sido la etapa de tu vida más dura?, al día de hoy te respondo con firmeza, “la vida de estudiante universitario”.

Recuerdo cuando empecé esta travesía, estudiar en la Universidad de Oriente (UDO), Núcleo de Anzoátegui, Extensión Anaco, comenzando por la carrera de Ingeniería Industrial; saliendo de la casa a otra ciudad; con el sueño de convertirme en un profesional de la república; mi meta siempre fue medicina, pero por motivos extra – académicos tuve que comenzar en esta extensión de la universidad.

Esa pequeña experiencia en Anaco me permitió conocer nuevas personas y otro ambiente educativo, la educación superior es un cambio drástico total al bachillerato, donde se deben hacer nuevos ajustes a la hora de estudiar, y adaptarse a los cambios es el pilar fundamental.

Después de un año en Ingeniería, gracias a la parte deportiva (ajedrez) pude obtener el cambio a la carrera de Medicina en la UDO ANZ, en las ciudades de Barcelona – Puerto La Cruz, el camino no fue fácil y hoy puedo decir “LO LOGRE”.

Cuando culminamos una etapa nos sentimos orgullosos por el logro alcanzado, “con un plus + extra”, ante todas las dificultades y vicisitudes que estuvieron a lo largo de todo este trayecto, hacen que el objetivo alcanzado sea más satisfactorio.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣6️⃣: A pesar de que en este año no hubo cese de actividades académicas, fue un año donde la crisis social en Venezuela se acentuó, muchos compañeros de la universidad renunciaron por motivos económicos, otros emigraron, algunos no pudieron continuar con sus estudios estando en la misma ciudad, un sin fin de cosas ese año; muchas veces me paso por la mente RENUNCIAR a todo.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣7️⃣: Situación política a raíz de la constituyente, hizo que se sumaran nuevas protestas estudiantiles y la universidad entro en otro paro.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣: no hubo (intensivo)

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣: Aparecieron los apagones de ese año que dificulto y alargo los periodos académicos

A partir del año ❌2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣❌ cuando "aparentemente" las cosas estaban acomodándose aparece el “COVID – 19” transformándose en pandemia, eso paralizó a todo el mundo, en estos momentos pensé: ¿Dios mío, que tanto ha hecho mi generación para tener todos estos obstáculos?

Después de todo lo vivido en el planeta con este virus que vino a cambiarnos todo, la manera de comunicarnos, estudiar, entre otros factores que todos conocemos; volvimos poco a poco a la normalidad y con algunos contratiempos pude culminar; esto es solo un resumen de obstáculos “extra – académicos” que hicieron que viera eterno este transitar.

Tener buenos valores y fomentarlos al día - día, empatía, asertividad, responsabilidad, amabilidad, humildad, y ser ese instrumento de Dios que usa para sanar, curar, y aliviar el dolor a los demás.

En este transitar conocí mucha gente buena, compañeros de clases que se convirtieron en grandes amigos, esas personas que la universidad te regala; que se convierten en familia.

Tuve bonitas experiencias en las aulas de clases, en el hospital vivencias inigualables, largas jornadas médicas (guardias, post – guardia, servicios) que agotan físicamente pero aquí estoy redactando este pequeño post y puedo decir “soy médico cirujano de la Universidad de Oriente".

Recently I was about to write a post with this news and share it with this Holos and Lotus community; in previous opportunities I have mentioned that their logo transmits a good energy, a sense of peace. I saw the initiative of the community and I thought it was excellent to share it as the theme of the initiative.

Everyone has their own story, experiences to tell for the rest of his life; everyone says that phrase "that is the best life, the student life"; it is a beautiful life where you learn about life, you suffer with exams, constant evaluations, making decisions at precise moments, for some it is hard; we laugh with friends, we share, among other things, but if you ask me, What has been the hardest stage of your life?, today I answer you firmly, the life of a university student.

I remember when I started this journey, studying at the Universidad de Oriente (UDO), Núcleo de Anzoátegui, Anaco Extension, starting with the career of Industrial Engineering; leaving home to another city; with the dream of becoming a professional of the republic; my goal was always medicine, but for extra-academic reasons I had to start in this extension of the university.

That little experience in Anaco allowed me to meet new people and another educational environment, higher education is a total drastic change to high school, where new adjustments must be made when studying, and adapting to changes is the cornerstone.

After a year in Engineering, thanks to the sports part (chess) I was able to obtain the change to the career of Medicine in the UDO ANZ, in the cities of Barcelona - Puerto La Cruz, the road was not easy and today I can say "I ACHIEVED"

When we culminate a stage we feel proud of the achievement, "with a plus + extra", before all the difficulties and vicissitudes that were throughout this journey, make the goal achieved more satisfactory.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣6️⃣: Although this year there was no cessation of academic activities, it was a year where the social crisis in Venezuela was accentuated, many university classmates resigned for economic reasons, others emigrated, some could not continue their studies in the same city, a lot of things that year; many times I thought about RENOUNCING everything.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣7️⃣: The political situation as a result of the Constituent Assembly led to new student protests and the university went into another strike.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣: there was no (intensive)

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣: The blackouts of that year hindered and lengthened the academic periods.

From the year ❌2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣❌ when "apparently" things were settling down, the "COVID - 19" appeared and turned into a pandemic, that paralyzed everybody, at that moment I thought: My God, what has my generation done to have all these obstacles?

After everything we lived through on the planet with this virus that came to change everything, the way we communicate, study, among other factors that we all know; we gradually returned to normality and with some setbacks I could finish; this is just a summary of "extra-academic" obstacles that made me see this journey as eternal.

To have good values and to promote them on a daily basis, empathy, assertiveness, responsibility, kindness, humility, and to be that instrument of God that He uses to heal, cure, and alleviate the pain of others.

In this journey I met many good people, classmates who became great friends, those people that the university gives you, who become family.

I had beautiful experiences in the classrooms, in the hospital unparalleled experiences, long medical days (on-call, post-call, services) that are physically exhausting, but here I am writing this short post and I can say "I am a surgeon from the Universidad de Oriente"
