Fabián, un hombre maduro de buen porte, adinerado, carismático y mujeriego, se encontraba en su lujoso restaurante cuando se dio cuenta de la presencia de una hermosa mujer, la cual tenía una piel tersa como una porcelana, una mirada dulce y una sonrisa seductora. Como tenía dinero Fabián hablo con uno de sus amigos que también se encontraba en el restaurante y le dijo que le averiguara todo sobre la hermosa mujer y este aceptó gustosamente porque se dio cuenta que Fabián estaba muy interesado en esa chica.

Fabian, a wealthy, charismatic and womanizer, was in his luxurious restaurant when he noticed the presence of a beautiful woman, who had a smooth skin like porcelain, a sweet look and a seductive smile. As he had money Fabian talked to one of his friends who was also in the restaurant and told him to find out everything about the beautiful woman and he gladly accepted because he realized that Fabian was very interested in this girl.

Después de un par de días le llevo un sobre con todo lo relacionado a la chica, Fabián le dio las gracias y se sentó a ver lo que había en el sobre, la chica tenía 25 años y hacia sombreros extraños pero a la vez lindos y este la contacto para que le hiciera uno, lo que ella no se imaginaba era que el sombrero era solo una excusa para verla en persona.

After a couple of days he took him an envelope with everything related to the girl, Fabian thanked him and sat down to see what was in the envelope, the girl was 25 years old and made strange hats but at the same time cute and he contacted her to make her one, what she did not imagine was that the hat was just an excuse to see her in person.

Llegó el día y Julia tenía que entregarle el sombrero a Fabián, cuando llegó este le dijo que tenía que ir a un evento pero la chica que lo acompañaría estaba indispuesta, pero era para ver qué decía Julia y enseguida sin titubear le dijo que estaba dispuesta a acompañarlo, él aceptó encantado porque logró lo que se proponía.

The day came and Julia had to give the hat to Fabian, when he arrived he told her that he had to go to an event but the girl who would accompany him was indisposed, but it was to see what Julia said and immediately without hesitation told him that she was willing to accompany him, he accepted delighted because he achieved what he intended.

Ella le comentó que no había ningún problema con eso, ya que ella sabía que esa relación no tenía futuro, además se llevaban una edad considerable. Fabián se sorprendió de que ella, una chica que desbordaba interés por él dijera esas palabras tan claras.

She looked spectacular and he looked very happy, then he told her the truth and she told him there was no reason to lie, she would have accepted with pleasure and Fabian took the opportunity to tell Julia that a relationship without commitments was the only thing he could offer her for now. She told him that there was no problem with that, since she knew that this relationship had no future, besides they were a considerable age apart. Fabian was surprised that she, a girl who overflowed interest in him, would say such clear words.

Ella le respondió: "Puedes hablar sin temor, ¿qué sucede?". "Por qué dijistes que esta relación no tiene futuro? Me sorprende viniendo de una chica como tú" ella con su mirada triste le dijo: "porque yo estoy desahuciada, tengo un tumor maligno en el cerebro, no tengo ni idea de cuánto tiempo me queda de vida".

But he did not express his surprise, he just took her to his house; several days passed and they agreed to meet in a beautiful park where he, having many doubts in his mind, told her: "Julia, I want to ask you something". She replied, "You can speak without fear, what is it?". "Why did you say that this relationship has no future? I am surprised coming from a girl like you" she with her sad look told him: "because I am hopeless, I have a malignant tumor in my brain, I have no idea how much time I have left to live".

Fabián se quedó sin palabras pero aún así era muy tarde estaba locamente enamorado de Julia y le prometió que estaría a su lado hasta su último suspiro. Mientras pasaban los días se dedicó a amarla y a hacerla muy feliz, ella era una chica sencilla y disfrutaba un mundo haciendo cualquier cosa siempre y cuando Fabián estuviese a su lado. Pero sin que Julia lo supiera Fabián consultó a varios médicos expertos en la materia y ninguno le dio aunque sea una pequeña esperanza y eso hacía que su alma se desvaneciera de dolor.

Fabian was speechless but it was still too late, he was madly in love with Julia and promised her that he would be by her side until his last breath. As the days went by he dedicated himself to love her and make her very happy, she was a simple girl and enjoyed doing anything as long as Fabian was by her side. But unbeknownst to Julia Fabian consulted several medical experts in the field and none gave her even a little hope and that made her soul fade with pain.

Una tarde estaban cenando, luego se pusieron a jugar cartas y Fabián se percató que Julia estaba pálida, de pronto se desvaneció, la tomó en su brazos y la llevó al hospital, cuando su doctor la atendió se dio cuenta que ya había llegado la hora y que no se podía hacer nada para remediarlo, salió, le comentó a Fabián lo que estaba pasando, él entró en la habitación, se sentó a su lado, le agarró la mano, enseguida ella abrió los ojos, le brindó una cálida sonrisa y al instante murió.

One evening they were having dinner, then they started playing cards and Fabian noticed that Julia was pale, suddenly she fainted, he took her in his arms and took her to the hospital, when her doctor attended her he realized that the time had come and that nothing could be done to remedy it, he went out, told Fabian what was happening, he entered the room, sat down next to her, grabbed her hand, she opened her eyes, gave him a warm smile and instantly died.

Fabián quedó destrozado al igual que los amigos y familiares de Julia, y Fabián para mitigar su dolor se refugió en su restaurante, donde preparaba comida especiales para mantener su mente ocupada ya que Julia se había ido para siempre. El amor verdadero es un sentimiento hermoso, pero cuando se nos va de entre las manos el dolor es tan inmenso como el imponente mar.

Fabian was devastated as were Julia's friends and family, and to ease his pain Fabian took refuge in his restaurant, where he prepared special meals to keep his mind occupied since Julia was gone forever. True love is a beautiful feeling, but when it slips through our fingers the pain is as immense as the mighty sea.
