Once upon a time, there was a girl named Ava. Ava loved learning, her favorite class was science. She loved mixing all the chemicals and watching the reactions of the chemicals flash before her eyes.
"Ugh math class is next" Ava said to her best friend Lucy. "You are so lucky to be good at math". Lucy laughed. Then, she said "It's not luck, it just takes a little practice."
Ava rolled her eyes "Practice? My brain won't let me do that no matter how hard I try! It gets me too lost in my thoughts."
Lucy and Ava were complete opposites. Yet, they got along so well. Some people called them "The Magnets" because it felt like some unknown force always drew them together.
Suddenly the bell rang, as Ava ran to class, she yelled out "I'll see you after class ok?" Lucy didn't say anything, she didn't like being loud. So she would just use their secret sign language.
After class, Lucy was waiting under their favorite tree for Ava to come.
Ava was late. But Lucy was fine with that, she has gotten used to it. Two minutes later, Lucy saw Ava sprinting to the tree.
"So, what happened in class?" Ava said out of breath. "Oh nothing really, the usual, kids passing me notes asking me for math answers. What about you?" Ava smirked. Then she said.
"Sooo, just like you, kids were passing notes to me too and then I came"
Lucy was confused. Ava chuckled then said. So a kid sent me an invitation to their birthday party!!!!!" Both of the girls squealed. When they were done, Lucy said, "But you never get invited to parties, who gave it to you?"
Ava started to look down at her feet. Then she quietly said "James." Lucy was shocked. She said "James?! The geek? You are really going to his party?" Ava looked back up and said "It's science themed, I can't miss it!"
Lucy looked at Ava with confusion in her eyes. "Ok Ava, but if you change your mind I am totally fine with that." Ava giggled. Now I just need to ask my parents if I can go. I think they will let me, I am almost 13 after all."
A few hours later, Ava finally made it to the party. And what's coming next will change Ava's life forever.
Hello guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while... Hurricane Otis hit us really hard. So a few days ago I came up with this story, so now I am making a post out of it. 😎 I will probably add some stories that actually happened during my time in this hurricane. Thank you for being patient and reading part one of Ava's Adventure!
