The Secret of Rain | Part II

“Ring….ring…ring” the alarm sounded loudly and startled Kirana, who had been fast asleep since last night. Her hands fumbled for the source of the alarm and didn't want to immediately get up from her bed *Ouch…. It's so noisy" while turning off the alarm. He continued to sleep without realizing that it was his work hour alarm that her set every day.

"Dreett….dretttt..dreettt" the sound of the cellphone rang under her sleeping pillow, she immediately reached into it and picked up the incoming phone which she herself didn't know who was calling. "Hello" he said in a sleepy tone. "Kiranaa... where is the proposal that I told you to prepare yesterday" a man's voice firmly and clearly sounded in her ear

Suddenly she opened her eyes wide as he looked at her cellphone screen to find out who was calling her. Her also snorted "Uuhhg... I died this time" it turns out that the boss from the office where her works. Her immediately replied in a soft tone "I'm sorry Sir, I have prepared the proposal, just print it, sir," her answered haltingly.

"I have reminded you from 2 days ago to prepare as soon as possible" concluded Mr. Haris in an annoyed tone "you come to my room immediately" he said in an angry tone and immediately hung up the phone.

After the conversation on the phone ended, her immediately got ready for the office. This morning her drove her own car which had been repaired since yesterday.

Kirana didn't have time to have breakfast at home because she was in too much of a hurry, even though her mother had prepared breakfast for her since morning "breakfast first, son..." said her mother who saw Kirana was in a great hurry down the stairs like someone being chased by a ghost. "I'll just have breakfast outside mam" her replied as he ran to the shoe rack and rushed into the car.

During the 15-minute journey, her finally arrived at the office where her worked. Her immediately parked her car and rushed in for his morning absence. After that her immediately did his work which had been delayed for the materials to be brought into Mr. Haris room. "I have to prepare this first, if I don't finish my history," her mumbled in her heart with a strangled expression on her face.

A few moments later her had already prepared all the materials to be brought to Mr. Haris' room. Arriving in front of Mr. Haris' room, her immediately knocked on the door and entered.

"Good morning Sir, I have prepared the proposal that you asked for," her said in a slightly tense tone.

Mr. Haris immediately looked at her with a sharp gaze making Kirana reluctant to look at her again and immediately bowed her head because her knew the mistake her had made.

"Do you know that today I lost a very valuable client for my office, everything was in vain and you have made me lose a big project that I really dreamed of," said Mr. Haris in a very angry tone and felt very disappointed with Kirana. Kirana also regretted her actions and wanted to apologize to him "I'm sorry sir" he said in a low tone and bowed her head without daring to look at Mr. Haris.

"I really don't accept this kind of carelessness, you are not disciplined and are often late," said Mr. Haris, as if expressing Kirana's mistakes that he had neglected too often. "This time I can't forgive you Kirana," he said as if he wanted to end Kirana's tenure. “You mean…?” Kirana said as if confused by Mr. Haris' words, "starting today I will fire you from this job" said Mr. Haris without further ado and immediately fired Kirana that same day.

Kirana was sad and she really didn't expect that this morning would be her last time working in the office. She tried to convince Mr. Haris to forgive her just this once, but Mr. Haris didn't want to hear any more excuses from her. Kirana immediately said goodbye and left feeling sad from Mr. Haris' room. She immediately returned to her room tidying all his things to get out of the office.

The poor girl came out of her office and stopped at a chair under a shady tree not far from the office where she usually worked. She sat under the tree bowing her head, her brown eyes just staring at her pentofel shoes, her heart pounding did not subside, her hands rubbed her face holding back the sadness she was experiencing. She tried to take a deep breath in an attempt to calm her emotions and feelings of disappointment in herself.

When she was contemplating her very sad fate with what happened to her today, suddenly Indra came again as if he knew when Kirana was in trouble. He stopped and immediately got out of his car to greet Kirana who was sitting alone with a wrinkled face and not the least bit excited.

The man greeted in a friendly manner "hey...may I sit next to you" Kirana just answered without turning to Indra "please go ahead" he said in an unenthusiastic tone and without realizing that what was beside him was Indra. "You want to…?" Indra offers Kirana chocolate which every woman usually likes when they are sad.

Immediately Kirana turned around and it turned out that the man who had been standing nearby was Indra, the same man who had helped her yesterday when it was raining.
