For this week's Social Media Challenge, I want to share and comment on a battle featuring one of the Promotional Cards. However, I want to clarify that I am actually borrowing this battle from a fellow Splinterlands player I follow on Hive. I would like to give a shoutout to @beaker007 and ask for his permission, as I am a bit short on content and couldn't find a battle featuring either BARON FYATT or HENCHLING ENFORCER for this post! 😅

The Battle

Let us jump right into commenting on the battle from Beaker007's point of view! This is a simple match with two rulesets to follow. The first is the Five Alive ruleset, which means each team can only have five Monsters on the battlefield, not counting the Summoner. The second is the Super Sneak ruleset, where all Melee Monsters gain the Sneak ability. This battle has a mana cap of 48 and permits the use of Death and Dragon Splinters only.

Summoner, Helios Matriarch

Considering the ample mana allowance of this battle, it is understandable that players went with the Dragon Splinter as the Splinter possess some of the game's most overpowering but high mana costing Monsters. However, in this particular instances, Beaker007 selected the Helios Matriarch instead of the more commonly seen Quix The Devious. Since there is no Gladiator card being played, I can only assume that Beaker007 does not have Quix The Devious in his arsenal for this particular battle! 😅

First Position, Djinn Muirat

Choosing Djinn Muirat as the tank for this battle was a strategic move, anticipating that the opponent might use Magic-attacking Monsters capable of causing significant damage. But thanks to Djinn Muirat's Counterspell ability, that damage could be reflected back at the attackers! Additionally, the Monster has the Void Armor ability, which means Magic attacks hit the Armor stats before they affect its Health 💪

Second Position, Kei

Let us move on to Kei next! Kei is a recently added Monster that has significantly shaken up the dynamics in Splinterlands battles. This Monster introduced a new ability to the game called Enfeeble, which reduces the target's Melee attack by 1 with each successful hit. As a Melee Monster, Kei usually attacks from the second position thanks to its Reach ability. However, in this battle, the Super Sneak ruleset overrides this, so Kei attacks the opponent's last position with Sneak instead! 🙃

Third Position, Baron Fyatt

Now for the main attraction of today's post! This Promotional Card features the iconic Halving ability, known for its disruptive impact, which can really irritate the opposing team. With the Scattershot ability, BARON FYATT can randomly target any Monster in the enemy's lineup and halve its attack power at will! As a Dual-Natured Monster (Death & Fire), BARON FYATT can participate in this battle even though the Fire Splinter isn't allowed by the ruleset! 😁

Fourth Position, Chaos Dragon

Though it requires substantial mana, the Chaos Dragon is well worth the investment, proving to be an unstoppable force on the battlefield. Its Scattershot ability adds unpredictability, but the Chaos Dragon consistently inflicts significant damage, especially with its Blast ability! Additionally, the Blind ability increases the chances of enemies missing their targets with both Melee and Ranged attacks! 😜

Last Position, Harklaw

Finally, we have Harklaw positioned at the last spot! This placement is a strategic choice by Beaker007, given the Super Sneak ruleset in this battle. With its Demoralize and Shield abilities, Harklaw can effectively counter most Melee damage it takes. Plus, with BARON FYATT'S Halving ability, those Melee Monsters' attacks might be further reduced, making them barely a threat to Harklaw when they Sneak upon it! 👍
